Chapter 725

Lue nced at Juniper, cleared her throat, and said in a low, warning tone, "The situation is veryplicated. Let''s not ask any questions for now."

“Everyone disperse. There''s no danger here, let''s head back,” Lue called out, adding a reminder, "Oh, and don''t forget to take that Sigma Network cargo ship with you."

Juniper said nothing, her face just looked exceptionally haggard as she walked toward the ship''s interior.

"Juniper, where are you headed?" Lue followed her, asking cautiously. "Back to the hotel, or do you want to rest at our base in Moralia Country?"

After all, their rtionship was genuinelyplicated now. Lue was honestly worried that the moment Juniper saw her nemesis, Shanley, she''d be ovee with rage and stab him.

"I''m going home," Juniper said, slumping into a chair and closing her eyes. Her voice was hoarse.

“Okay,” Lue replied, rubbing her nose, not daring to offer any other suggestions.

Back on the Sigma Network ship, Shanley sat on the sofa in the wrecked cabin, looking utterly defeated.

“Boss,” Felton and Flint said cautiously as they pushed the door open.

"Is Juniper gone?" Shanley looked up, his face pale and his eyes shot with blood. His voice was raspy and almost unrecognizable.

"Yes," Flint replied respectfully, secretly studying the man''s expression. "The Subterra Vanguard ship has already departed."

"Boss, also..." Felton hesitated for a moment before continuing, "The Subterra Vanguard crew took our cargo ship. The goods on it..."

“Let her take them," Shanley muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose as if on the verge of copse. "If money can buy Juniper''s forgiveness, I''d give her the entire Sigma Network."

"Felton," he said, slowly lifting his tired, bloodshot eyes. "Do you think Juniper will ever forgive me?"

Felton''s eyes shot open in shock. This was a minefield. How could he possibly answer that?

"Ms. Payne..." Felton clenched his fists at his sides, his lips parting but no wordsing out. "She... she..."

He didn''t dare say it. If he were in Ms. Payne''s shoes and found out his boss was his mortal enemy of many years-someone who had fought against him since the founding of Subterra vanguard and had nearly killed him... he probably wouldn''t forgive him. It all depended on how deep Ms. Payne''s feelings for the boss really ran.

“Back to the hotel," Shanley said, standing up. He picked up the phone Juniper had left on the table and walked out like a man in a trance.

"Boss, have you thought of a way to ask for Ms. Payne''s forgiveness?" Felton and Flint asked, jogging to keep up.

"No," Shanley said, his face grim. The

    knees for her."

Felton and Flint''s jaws dropped. On his knees? They must have misheard.

"As long as she forgives me, I''d give her my life.”

    The two didn''t dare respond.

At the hotel, Shanley stood at the door, hesitating for a long time, unable to bring himself to open it. The ferocity of fis past pursuit was matched only by the depth of his fear now.

Finally, he summoned his courage and went in.

    "Juniper..."

He opened the door to a silent, empty room. Everything was there-except for her and her passport.

"It''s over," Flint whispered to Felton, biting his lower lip. "Did Ms. Payne really just dump the boss?"
