Chapter 1137

    ?Chapter 1137:

Defeated, Dewayne could only step back, his features clouded over.

A small tug at Tinsley’s sleeve drew her attention. Looking down, she noticed Alistair pointing at Katy. With a frown, Alistair said, “Tinsley, earlier today, I fainted on the roadside, but she ignored me. The Healer was the one who saved me.”

A frosty re from Tinsleynded squarely on Katy.

Authority radiated from Tinsley, the Princess of Yoswye, and Katy’s face lost every trace of color under that stare.

Scrambling to defend herself, Katy blurted, “It’s not like that, Your Highness. You’ve misunderstood—”

Tinsley cut her off with a frown. “She’s not fit to work at Gleyross Hospital. Dr. Nguyen, dismiss her immediately.”

A desperate shake of the head was all Katy could manage as her lips trembled. “Dr. Nguyen, please, I didn’t mean any harm. Don’t fire me…”

With Tinsley’s order, Dewayne didn’t dare defend Katy. “Yes, Your Highness. Her employment at Gleyross Hospital ends today.”

A subtle nod from Tinsley signaled her eptance.

Left standing alone, Katy felt the finality of her dismissal. Being fired by Gleyross Hospital meant every door in the medical world would m shut. Regret seeped in, making her wish she could take back every mistake.

Inside the operating suite, two beds waited, prepared side by side beneath the harsh white lights.

Orderlies gently rolled the King onto one bed, while Tinsley, steady andposed, settled herself onto the other without hesitation.

Watching from the corner, Alistair chewed his lip with worry. He reached out and tugged at Elena’s sleeve. “Healer, is my sister going to be all right?”

A warm smile bloomed on Elena’s face. “Don’t you believe I can take care of her?”

    Alistair answered, “I trust you.”

A slight smile touched Elena’s lips. “Then let your heart rest easy.”

Work began as soon as everyone was in ce. Inside the operating room, Elena started the transfusion. Every drop mattered. The slightest miscalction—too much or too little—could mean danger for both patient and donor.

    ???????????????? ??????????????: ?????????ν??????﹒?????

Vignt, Elena kept her eyes fixed on the flow. When the crucial moment arrived, she withdrew the needle from Tinsley’s arm with practiced hands.

Hours slipped away as the team worked in silence.

Eventually, Tinsley was left looking pale but otherwise unharmed. The King, though, still showed no sign of waking.

Noticing the King’s stillness, Dewayne spoke up. “Healer, you said the transfusion would wake him. Why hasn’t there been any change?”

A calm, unwavering look met his challenge. “Why did you neglect to mention he’d had a heart transnt?” Elena asked.

Dewayne’sposure faltered for just a second. “I assumed you were already aware,” he replied quickly.

A low scoff escaped Elena, her patience running thin.

Dewayne looked away, uneasy under the piercing rity of her gaze.

Earlier, as the transfusion progressed, an unexpected rejection had shaken the King’s body. Only Elena’s swift action had kept tragedy at bay.

Tinsley’s anxiety spilled over. “Healer, is something wrong? My father’s heart was transnted by the top specialists at Gleyross Hospital.”
