Chapter 1132

    ?Chapter 1132:

Each movement sent pain shooting through Katy’s knees, and she shot Elena a look full of resentment as she said to Dewayne, “Dr. Nguyen, that’s the woman who publicly embarrassed me.”

Dewayne’s expression hardened as he red at Elena. “Let’s make one thing clear. Katy is a doctor at Gleyross Hospital. An insult to her is an insult to the entire hospital. If you’re a medical professional, you should know better. Push your luck any further, and you’ll destroy your reputation.”

Unbothered, Elena maintained herposure. “She made a bet, lost it, and paid the price. Surely, the doctors at Gleyross Hospital can handle a little defeat, right?”

“You…” An incredulous look crossed Dewayne’s face. He hadn’t anticipated such boldness from her. He let out a cold, sharpugh. “Bring the director of the hospital you work for right here immediately!”

Smug satisfaction lit up Katy’s face. In her mind, this woman had made an enemy of Dewayne, and she was done for. Reputation meant everything to Dewayne. He was the king’s own physician, and hospital directors throughout Yoswye held him in the highest regard. With a single word, he could end this woman’s medical career for good.

Calm as ever, Elena didn’t flinch. “I don’t work at any hospital.”

Quick to pounce, Katy sneered, “So you couldn’t evennd a job at a proper hospital, yet you strut around pretending to be a professional? Aren’t you afraid your lies will catch up with you? I’ll even give you a chance.” A wicked grin spread across her face. “Spend a day kneeling at the roadside, admit you know nothing about medicine, and maybe we’ll let it slide. Otherwise—”

A simple question from Elena cut her off. “Otherwise, what will you do?”

Katy’s eyes shed with menace. “If you don’t, I’ll see to it you’re banished from Yoswye.”

Alistair, who had been ignored because of his small size, interjected, his voice strong and clear. “Elena saved me. No one’s going to make her leave. If anyone should pack up and go, it’s you.”

Barely sparing Alistair a nce, Katy waved him off. “Children shouldn’t interrupt grown-ups.”

The butler couldn’t believe what was happening and felt a headacheing on. How could that woman disrespect the young prince?

    ???????????????? ????????????: g????????ν????????????

Intent on stepping in, the butler opened his mouth, but Katy beat him to it, rolling her eyes at Alistair. “Stay out of it, kiddo. And what does a brat like you know, anyway? Where’s your guardian? The fraud beside you isn’t even a doctor, and here she is, ying with your health. Unless that fraud apologizes right now, neither of you is leaving!”

A shadow crossed Alistair’s features, but for all his youth, he stood his ground. “This is my home. Why should I heed yourmand?”

Laughter burst from Katy. “Your home? You must have lost your mind from her so-called treatment. This is the royal pce. Unless you’re a prince, you don’t belong here—”

The reality struck her mid-sentence, and every trace of color drained from her face.

At that moment, the butler looked away, unable to watch the disaster unfold. Was this woman truly a doctor? How had she even been hired at Gleyross Hospital with such terrible judgment? Pce security didn’t let just anyone through. The only way a child could walk these halls so freely was if he belonged to the royal family—a prince, no less.

Approaching with deep deference, the butler bowed to Alistair. “Your Royal Highness.”

Lifting his chin ever so slightly, Alistair spoke with frosty detachment. “Are these the doctors in charge of my father’s treatment?”
