Chapter 1116

    ?Chapter 1116:

The group fell silent, not daring to push their luck.

With help from his injured crew, Nichol got to his feet, though not without sending onest threat Elena’s way. “Just you wait. My boss won’t let you off!”

Ignoring the bluster, Elena raised her hand, reaching for her helmet. At the motion, Nichol flinched, throwing his hands up to guard his face, certain another blow wasing.

Elena scoffed dismissively, donned her helmet, and swung her leg over her motorcycle. She spared them a final nce, voice cool and unhurried. “I’ll be waiting.” With that, she hit the throttle, vanishing down the street in a blur of speed.

Deep inside the Onyx Rose Association’s headquarters, Steunched into a tirade at her uncle. “Everything’s ruined because of Elena! She stole the man I love and made me the joke of the. Brent, you have to help me make her pay!”

Brent Swain, the gang’s boss and Ste’s doting uncle, offered her a calm assurance. “Rx. I’ve already sent people to capture her. She should be here soon, and when she is, you can do whatever you want for payback. As long as I’m here, nobody dares mess with you.”

Relief and delight swept across Ste’s features. “I knew I could always count on you!”

Schemes began brewing behind Ste’s wide eyes. She pictured Elena’s beautiful face scarred, beggars humiliating her, shattering her confidence forever to ensure she never dared seduce Wesley again. Even though Elena had turned Wesley against her father, it didn’t matter since Elena would be at her mercy soon. There was no way Wesley still wanted Elena once she was disfigured.

Once Elena was brought low, Ste was sure Wesley would look her way. That would be the key to her father’s release from prison and a chance of making aeback.

While Ste dreamed of a world with Wesley at her side, the door mmed open and Nichol stumbled in, battered and dejected.

Brent’s expression darkened. “So? Where’s the girl you promised to bring back?”

Pale and defeated, Nichol muttered, “She’s a fighter, Mr. Swain. Martial arts—real serious stuff. I’m no match for her. You’ll have to take care of her yourself.”

A wave of irritation shed across Brent’s face. “Pathetic.”

    ??????????? ??????????????? ?????????ν?????????????

Seeing this, Ste grew anxious. “Brent, you swore you’d take care of this for me!”

With a reassuring grin, Brent replied, “You have my word. I’ve never let you down before, have I? I’ll bring more men this time and handle Elena myself. For you, there’s nothing I won’t do.”

Only after hearing this did Ste’s nerves finally settle. “Just wait, Elena. Your days are numbered,” she muttered inwardly, her eyes narrowing with malice.

Elena’s bike roared down the street until she pulled up outside Wesley’s house. Still in her helmet, she swung her leg over the seat just as a yful whistle caught her attention.

Malcolm lounged in the doorway, unable to resist a quip for the striking biker before him. “Well, hello there, beautiful. Think you could give me your name?”

With a smooth twist, Elena pulled off her helmet, tossing Malcolm a cool, unbothered look.

Recognition sparked in his eyes, and one eyebrow shot up. “Elena? You’ve got a bike now? We need to hit the road together—I’m itching for a race.”

She let her gaze linger on him, a trace of surprise flickering in her eyes. Somewhere along the line, the formal “Miss Harper” had faded away—now, to Malcolm, she was just Elena.

Setting her helmet down, Elena strode confidently into the house. “You sure you’re up for that kind of challenge?”
