?Chapter 747:
Ste surmised that with that pathetic little plea, Wesley couldn’t possibly turn her down, right? Unless, of course, he wasn’t a gentleman.
But Wesley, ever aloof, acted like she wasn’t even there.
Seeing how Wesley frowned at Ste, Felix immediately handed him a disinfectant wipe.
Wesley, with a disgusted look on his face, wiped his hands like he’d just touched something truly vile.
“You…” Ste’s face went dark with fury. Nobody had ever treated her with such utter disdain before.
With all those guests watching, their eyes practically glued to her, Ste felt like aplete idiot sitting on the ground.
Malcolm offered a weak little smile. “Miss Russell, this ind might be warm and all, but sitting on the ground for too long can get rather… unpleasant.”
Ste was beyond pissed. Did she want to sit on the ground? Heck no! She wanted Wesley to be her knight in shining armor, but he’d blown her offpletely. The idea of getting up on her own was simply too humiliating.
“Are you deliberately making fun of me?” Ste snarled.
Malcolm, cool as a cucumber, just held out his hand to help her up.
Just as Ste was about topletely lose her mind, she paused for a split second at his gesture. Turning around in a blind rage, she bumped right into someone. This time, she didn’t just bump. She shoved the poor soul out of her way. “Watch where you’re going! What’s the purpose of those eyes of yours?”
Kiera stumbled and fell, her palm instantly turning bright red from the impact.
Your imagination begins with gα?ησν????s﹒?????
Malcolm’s face changed, but someone else was quicker on the uptake. Louis smoothly and quickly pulled Kiera to her feet, his voice tight with concern. “Are you okay? Did you get hurt?”
Kiera quickly tried to hide her injured hand behind her back, shaking her head to y it down.
Louis saw her trying to hide it and gently pulled her hand forward, revealing her palm, all red and gritty with sand. His expression turned dark.
Malcolm had already taken off to grab the first aid kit, meaning to patch up Kiera himself, but Louis was way faster.
Louis carefully cleaned the scrape with water, disinfected it with iodine, put on some ointment, and then bandaged it all up.
Malcolm, Kiera’s brother, just stood there looking like a chump, pletely outshone by Louis.
Malcolm was speechless. He wasn’t exactly sure Kiera’s brother was here. But seeing how Louis was looking out for his sister, Malcolm decided to let this one slide.
Malcolm’s smile vanished, his eyes turning icy as he stared hard at Ste. “Miss Russell, this isn’t your personal yground. Watch where you’re going.”
