Chapter 1107

    ?Chapter 1107:

Catching my gaze, Alden’s lips curved into a knowing smile. “Now that we’ve all assembled here, let’s set aside these troubling matters. The Pierce family’s protection nkets this estate, with guards stationed at every approach. Even the Wizard n, brazen as they may be, wouldn’t dareunch another assault here. We might as well surrender to pleasure, indulging in unrestrained merriment while we can. What say you all?”

As he spoke, he pped his hands with purposeful authority. Within moments, attendants glided forward bearing traysden with exquisite delicacies and vessels of aromatic wine.

Alden rose to his feet, his face illuminated by a dazzling smile as he beckoned to us. “Come along now, let’s ascend to the rooftop. The view there is absolutely breathtaking!”

“Yes! Let’s not allow such trivial concerns to dampen our spirits,” I interjected eagerly, relief evident in my voice.

Without hesitation, our entire group followed Alden’s lead to the rooftop.

The view that greeted us stole my breath away. Stretching before usy an endless tapestry of blossoms. Flowers in vibrant hues captured the sunset’s golden light, transforming thendscape into a shimmering masterpiece.

A soft breeze carried the sweet fragrance of blossoms, refreshing my senses and lifting my spirits.

Standing at the railing, I inhaled deeply, feeling the flower-scented air gradually ease the weight in my chest.

Alden strolled over to join me, holding a ss of wine which he presented with obvious pride, like showing off a prized possession. “Makenna, give this a try. It’s our winery’s signature blend, and I’m certain you’ll enjoy it.”

I smiled as I epted the ss, taking a light sip. The wine flowed smoothly across my pte with subtle sweetness.

    “It’s really delicious!”

I couldn’t help but praise it as I continued drinking, each sip more enjoyable than thest.

In this moment, it felt as though we’d left all our troubles behind. We stood there gazing at the vast sea of flowers, pletely carefree.

Moonlight poured down like a silver waterfall, bathing the rooftop in a soft, ethereal glow. I was drunk—drenched in a warm, dizzying fog that made everything hazy and dreamlike.

The others had surrendered to the alcohol too, scattered across the lounge chairs in various states of sleepy disarray.

Alden sat with his head tilted back, a slow, satisfied smile ying on his lips.

Jett appearedpletely lost to the world, his eyes closed, chest rising and falling in a peaceful rhythm.

yton and Dominic leanedzily against their seats, empty wine sses dangling from their fingers, their expressions lulled into serene contentment.

A wave of dizziness washed over me as I stood, swaying slightly. I considered fetching someone to help bring them all inside, but just then, a hand reached for mine—gentle, steady.

I nced down to find Bryan.

His eyes were sharp and clear despite the haze around us, and one brow lifted as he spoke in that familiar, warm tone. “Makenna, are you alright? Would you like to take a walk with me?”

I hesitated, the fog in my mind making everything feel distant—but after a beat, I nodded.
