Chapter 1097

    ?Chapter 1097:

Disbelief crashed over me like a wave. I stared at Bryan, my heart tightening painfully. “The Wizard n’s eldest prince is sending killers after Jett? Has he lost his mind? Jett is his flesh and blood—his brother!”

Bryan’s face darkened, his nod heavy with solemn confirmation. “That’s precisely the intelligence we’ve gathered.”

“Where is Jett now?” My voice trembled, anxiety growing, fear for his safety shadowing my thoughts.

Bryan steadied me. “Rest assured. I’ve already stationed my most trusted subordinates around him. He’ll be safe.”

Despite his confidence, unease churned in my mind. “The issues with your father aren’t resolved yet, and now the Wizard n is embroiled in its own power struggle involving Jett.”

yton gently draped his arm around my shoulders, his voice aforting murmur. “Try not to dwell on it. We’ve firmly established control over Marehelm. No one will breach our defenses easily.”

I looked up at him and nodded silently, a quiet hope forming within me. “I just hope we don’t face any more challenges ahead.”

    Leonardo’s POV:

Ever since Makenna vanished into the sea, I had dispatched parties daily, scouring every harbor, dock, and fishing vige along the coastline with my most skilled operatives.

Yet, no matter how fervently I intensified the search, not a single trace of her emerged.

It felt as though she had simply vanished, swallowed by the waves…

Standing by a window in the pce, I gazed out at the tranquil scenery, but an unsettling weight stirred deep within my chest.

Makenna wasn’t just any ordinary white wolf; her abilities bordered on the supernatural.

    F???????? ???????????????? ???????? g???????ν??????.?????

I vividly recalled the day she came back to life right before my eyes—a power that no mere white wolf should possess.

Could she truly be dead? Just like that? Or was this an borate ruse, a trick she’d woven to mislead us all?

As I pondered these unsettling thoughts, my mind drifted to my three reckless sons, who had fallen hopelessly in love with Makenna. They’d defied me openly for her sake! It made me worry—and furious at the same time.

“I wonder if those three have made any progress recently,” I muttered under my breath.

“You,e here!” I summoned one of my subordinates with a pointed finger. “Report on the current situation with the princes. Any news from Marehelm?”

The subordinate knelt before me on one knee, his head bowed low, beads of sweat trickling down his temple.

“Why are you silent?” I snapped, impatience boiling over.

After a tense pause, he stammered, “Your Majesty, the princes haven’t sent any reportstely, and concerning Marehelm… well, specifics remain uncertain.”

My heart plunged at his words, a gnawing instinct telling me something was dreadfully wrong.

My sons were always careful, meticulous even. They never failed to keep me informed, especially when involved in matters as critical as Marehelm. The silence now felt ominous.
