Chapter 1068

    ?Chapter 1068:

Pa stared suspiciously at me. The wariness that had vanished from her expression immediately returned as she wondered about my true intentions.

Seeing her hesitation, I hurriedly urged her, saying, “This is not the time to hesitate, Pa. You have to tell me.”

There was a brief silence before Pa finally said, “You just need to close your eyes and concentrate…”

As Pa spoke, I reached out and took her cold hand in mine. I then shut my eyes and tried to channel the inner energy within me as Pa had exined.

The effect was instantaneous as a warm current flowed from me into Pa and immediately began to heal her once severe wounds.

Pa’s eyes widened in disbelief. “How… how did you do that? That’s… that’s… how is this possible?” she stammered.

I offered no answer and only stared at her.

Pa’s gaze then grew discerning, and she asked in a whisper, “Are you also a white wolf?”

I smiled, saying nothing, but the answer was clear.

“No wonder you risked your life bying to save us. We’re the same kind…”

I quickly raised a hand, cutting her off mid-sentence. “Right now we need to focus on the task at hand. This isn’t over. The mission is to get everyone out safely. That’s the only thing that matters right now,” I said.

By this time, Pa’s wounds werepletely healed, and color had returned to her once pale face.

My brows furrowed thoughtfully as I tried toe up with a n.

Finally, I turned to Pa and said, “You need to create a diversion to draw the guards’ attention so that I can steal the keys. Can you do that?”

“Yes, but how exactly do I create the diversion?” Pa asked.

    g???????ν??????.?????? – ???????????? ????????

I leaned in and whispered my n into her ear.

A look of surprise shed through Pa’s face, but it was soon reced with one of purpose.

We clung to the wall and moved forward.

The prison’s corridor was narrow and dimly lit. The only sounds that could be heard were the distant footsteps of the guards.

My heart beat nervously in my chest, and my palms grew sweaty.

Finally, we were near the door to the guard captain’s office.

The door was closed, and two armed guards stood at the entrance.

Both guards scanned their surroundings attentively.

I turned to Pa, who was beside me, and whispered, “Follow the n.”

    Makenna’s POV:

Pa inhaled deeply, her expression steely as if bracing for a monumental trial, and sped my hand firmly. “The fate of this mission rests in your hands now. Tread carefully.”

I gave a solemn nod. “You take care as well.”

At that, Pa clenched her jaw and sprinted out from our hiding spot in the shadows.

“Awooo…” Her low, resonant wolf howl pierced the night air.
