?Chapter 1037:
My lips twitched, and I wondered if Bryan had lost his mind.
With a sudden burst of courage, I pped his hand away, my cheeks burning as I feigned outrage. “You’re all just overthinking this!”
Dominic and yton exchanged meaningful nces before turning their skeptical gazes toward me, studying my face with ufortable intensity.
The atmosphere grew so thick with jealousy it was bing difficult to breathe.
Anxiety bubbled inside me, and I desperately searched for an escape from this tension. My eyes darted around frantically before I blurted, “Where’s Amon? I have some things to ask him.”
Bryan’s expression darkened further, as if my question had extinguished thest ember of his patience. “Amon is still cleaning up Cody’s mess,” he replied irritably. “He should be back soon.”
With that, he crossed his arms and turned away, the perfect image of a sulking teenager.
Just as his name left our lips, Amon’s clear, manding voice rang out from the distance.
“Your Highnesses, Miss Dunn.”
I spun toward the voice to find Amon approaching in a sleek ck outfit that emphasized his disciplined posture.
Bryan instantly shed his sulking demeanor, his expression hardening into the stern countenance of authority. With a curt nod to Amon, he inquired in a measured tone, “Amon, what’s the status of the situation?”
At this, Amon respectfully lowered his head before responding, “Your Highness, only a few minor figures remain. They present no significant threat and are hardly worth your concern.”
Just as Bryan was about to dismiss him, I jumped in with a hastily stered smile. “I need to ask Amon something as well. Just a moment, please.”

I grabbed Amon’s arm impulsively, nearly losing my bnce in my eagerness.
A flicker of difort crossed Amon’s face at my unexpected touch. He gently extricated himself from my grip while maintaining hisposed demeanor.
“Miss Dunn, is there something you wish to discuss privately, away from the princes’ ears?” Amon asked with unwavering politeness.
Anxiety rippled through me as I cast a quick nce toward the three princes. Leaning closer to Amon, I lowered my voice to a near whisper. “It’s not that. I just thought you might prefer they didn’t hear.”
Amon’s calm expression faltered, his previously rxed brow creasing slightly. A spark of curiosity shed in his eyes as he tried to anticipate my question.
Unable to contain myself any longer, I blurted out, “Have you found Alice’s whereabouts?”
Makenna’s POV:
When I posed my question, Amon appeared slightly unsettled, his hand clumsily lifting to rub the back of his neck. A fleeting shade of nervousness crossed his gaze as he stole a brief look toward the princes standing nearby.
As I observed his difort, a small grin tugged at my lips. I edged closer, lowering my voice to a conspiratorial whisper.
“I had a feeling Alice would reach out to you once she vanished into hiding. Don’t worry, I’m good at keeping secrets. Prince Bryan won’t hear a word from me about you knowing where she is.”
