Chapter 1015

    ?Chapter 1015:

At that moment, the heavy gates of the Pierce estate creaked open, revealing Dayton and Maia stepping into the fray.

My soldiers wasted no time, swiftly encircling them, poised for my signal to strike.

The sight of Makenna at my side sent a ripple of worry across Dayton’s and Maia’s faces.

Dayton’splexion turned ghostly pale, the veins on his forehead pulsing as he jabbed an using finger in my direction. “Cody! Are you staging a coup?”

I sneered, my voice thick with contempt. “And if I am? What power do you have to change it?”

Dayton’s shock was palpable, his face reddening as he trembled, barely containing his outrage. “Do you not fear the king’s wrath for such tant treason?”

“Ha-ha…” A heartyugh escaped me, as though he had just told the grandest jest. “Leonardo? That fraud? He is hardly fit to wear the crown! I have been itching to topple him for ages. If a fake can im the throne, why shouldn’t I?”

Dayton stood dumbfounded, struggling to find his words before his anger red anew. “Cody Harrison, your arrogance knows no bounds! The three princes are here in Marehelm, and their strength is nothing to scoff at. Your little plot is doomed to fail!”

With a cold, ruthless glint in my eye, I let out a derisive snort and seized Makenna’s hair in a sudden grip.

“Ah!” Makenna yelped, writhing in pain, though my soldiers held her fast, pinning her in ce.

Relishing her helpless state, I shed a smug grin, my confidence swelling.

With a sharp tug, I sent her crashing to the ground at my feet, her pitiful figure a stark contrast to her earlier fire.

I turned my triumphant gaze to Dayton and Maia, my voice dripping with self-assurance. “Dayton, I reckon you’re well aware of Makenna’s true identity, aren’t you? She is the apple of the three princes’ eyes. For her sake, they would defy the king himself. With Makenna in my clutches, it’s the king who ought to tremble.”

No sooner had the words left my lips than the sound of hurried footsteps echoed in the distance.

A sly smile curved my lips as a thrill of anticipation coursed through me. The three princes had finally arrived, and the real spectacle was about to unfold.

    Makenna’s POV:

“Cody, let her go immediately! Or don’t me me for being ruthless!” As I struggled with all my might, Bryan’s familiar voice reached me from behind, sending a wave of relief through my body. My heart skipped a beat—like a drowning person grasping thest straw of hope. I looked up to see Bryan storming over with a group of people. His piercing gaze was fixed intently on Cody, fists clenched at his sides, eyes zing with a chilling intent to kill.

“Hmph!” Cody scoffed disdainfully. He casually lifted his foot and gave me a harsh kick that sent pain shooting through my body.

“Ah—” I cried out, stumbling forward and nearly falling to the ground. With leisurely confidence, Cody turned around. He fearlessly met the gaze of the three princes, his stance radiating arrogance.

“I’ve been expecting you, Your Highnesses,” he sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. “Now that Makenna is in my hands, do you dare to make a move?”

His triumphant nce swept across the three princes as if victory was already within his grasp.
