Chapter 964

    ?Chapter 964:

Bryan rubbed the back of his neck, his tone growing earnest. “Truth is, I came to discuss our son. Earlier, with all those people around, I couldn’t bring it up properly.”

“Our son…” The words melted my defenses. I guided him to sit with me on the edge of the bed and began sharing everything about Winfred, piece by piece.

The room glowed softly under dim light as Bryan listened closely, though he didn’t overlook my still-dripping hair. He reached for the hairdryer, setting it to a gentle warmth, and started running it through my strands with care.

Between the dryer’s low hum, he’d pause now and then to glide his fingers tenderly through my hair, his touch deliberate and kind.

As I recounted Winfred’s history in a hushed voice, Bryan offered quiet, thoughtful replies. Abruptly, he switched off the dryer, and I turned to him, puzzled—only to catch him staring at me, his eyes heavy with remorse.

“Makenna, I…” His voice rasped slightly. “I’m so sorry. I failed to protect you and our boy, and you both paid the price.”

He swallowed hard. “When we find Winfred, I promise I’ll make it right—a hundred times over. I’ll shield you both with all I’ve got.” His vow hit me like a wave, and tears sprang to my eyes. Overwhelmed, I sank into his embrace, sobbing softly.

“When Winfred was at the horse farm, he went through hell. He was so young, and yet his little body bore scars upon scars—old wounds barely faded before fresh ones took their ce. If not for the white wolf’s blood and its power to heal, he might not have…” My throat tightened, tears streaming silently down my cheeks.

A flicker of anguish crossed Bryan’s face. He sped my hand firmly, his voice steady with resolve. “Makenna, I swear to you—those who harmed Winfred will answer for it. Every wrong they inflicted on him, they’ll pay for dearly.”

I lifted my gaze to his, our eyes locking in shared, steely resolve. “We have to make them pay. If Antoni hadn’t torn me away from Winfred, our son wouldn’t have endured such agony. He’s the one who must face justice for this!”

    Makenna’s POV:

Bryan inclined his head with grave sincerity, vowing in a resonant tone, “I swear I’ll exact retribution. And when the dust settles, I’ll provide you with a sanctuary—a home where trials and tribtions will be a distant memory.”

A sanctuary? A home? Perhaps because I had never truly known one, the notion stirred something profound within me, a longing that ran deep. I tilted my chin upward and pressed a tender kiss to Bryan’s lips. “Bryan, I ce myplete faith in you.”

For a fleeting moment, Bryan froze, caught off guard, his surprise evident. It was understandable—never before had I spoken his name in such a gentle tone, with such intimacy.

In an abrupt surge of passion, he pressed me down onto the bed, his hands encircling my waist with a possessive grip. His frame grew taut, radiating heat. “I won’t disappoint you,” he murmured.

With that promise hanging in the air, he captured my lips in a fervent kiss, igniting a fire between us. Fresh from a shower, I wore only a bathrobe, its tie easily undone with a single tug. The fabric parted like petals, revealing my bare skin to the cool air. My breasts stood proud, their soft pink tips faintly taut, teasingly shy of full bloom.

“So beautiful, it makes me want to im you entirely for myself,” Bryan breathed, dipping his head to envelop my left nipple with his warm mouth. His tongue danced expertly around it, while his right hand cupped my other breast, kneading it with a gentle, deliberate touch.

A delicate moan escaped me, unbidden, as a sweet ache blossomed between my thighs. Summoning my courage, I reached for Bryan’s clothing, tugging at it as I gasped in a haze of pleasure. “Mmm… no… I can’t… I’m already so wet down there…”
