Chapter 936

    ?Chapter 936:

Frustration bubbled up, and I rubbed my forehead, my voice tinged with distress as I spoke. “With the little strength we have, venturing into that treacherous forest to save the white wolves feels impossible; it’s like searching for a single grain of sand in a vast desert.”

Jett’s expression remained stoic, his silence speaking volumes. I could tell he was carefully weighing our options, his mind racing just as mine was, both of us gripped by the same gnawing fear.

Sensing a slight shift in his resolve, I stepped closer, urgencycing my words. “You’ve been working to earn Dayton’s trust, but how long will that take? Time isn’t on our side. Every moment we waste only increases the danger we’re in.”

I paused, my voice growing more serious. “If Leonardo uncovers our ns, we’re finished.”

Jett nodded slowly, his eyes clouded with hesitation as he finally spoke. “You’re right, but you can’t ignore what I’ve warned you about. This isn’t a game. One misstep, and everything could fall apart.”

I bowed my head, my voice low and somber. “That’s exactly why I’ve kept the truth about the past hidden from the three princes. I thought maybe we could use their power to get into the forest and rescue the white wolves trapped there.”

The mention of the white wolves brought Alden to mind. With everything that had happened recently, I’d meant to discuss this with Jett earlier but had let it slip.

“There’s something else,” I said, my tone grave. “Alden is actually a white wolf.”

Before Jett could fully process that revtion, I dropped another bombshell. “And he told me the white wolves imprisoned in the forest are being subjected to some kind of experiments. I don’t know the details, but I’m sure it’s nothing good.”

“What!” Jett’s eyes widened in shock, his voice faltering as he struggled toprehend. “Alden is a white wolf?”

I nodded firmly, my expression unwavering. “Yes. I saw his wounds heal almost instantly with my own eyes. There’s no doubt about it.”

    ???????? ????????: ???????????????????????????????

Jett rubbed his chin, lost in thought.

“White wolves with such extraordinary healing abilities are incredibly rare among werewolves. If what you’re saying is true, Alden’s lineage might be significant. He could very well be descended from the Saint’s bloodline,” Jett said thoughtfully, his words measured.

My heart sank at his words, a storm of thoughts swirling in my mind. My fists clenched instinctively as I stared at Jett, a wave of dread washing over me.

“Are you saying Alden could be my brother? That can’t be possible!” I eximed, my voice tinged with panic.

Alden and I had already… been intimate. The idea was too absurd, too unsettling.

Jett shook his head, a hint of exasperation in his tone. “You’re jumping to conclusions. Don’t let your imagination run wild.”

Relief washed over me, and I let out an awkwardugh, trying to shake off the tension. “I hope I’m just overthinking it.”

Jett cleared his throat and continued, his tone more exnatory. “Aside from the Saint’s bloodline, there’s another lineage of white wolves known for their powerful healing abilities. They’ve historically intermarried with the Lycan royalty’s branches.”

“Intermarried?” I repeated, my mind immediately turning to Alden’s sister, Maia.

A spark of hope flickered in my chest, and my voice lifted with anticipation. “Maybe Maia knows something about this.”
