Chapter 893

    ?Chapter 893:

Taking advantage of this, I quickly slipped into a corner of the banquet hall.

I nced around and found that Jett had also followed me into an inconspicuous part of the hall.

“What’s your n now? Now that Dayton has fully recovered, it’s going to be harder for us to obtain the pass to enter the werewolf forest.”

Jett turned to me and replied, “From what I’ve gathered over the past few days, entering the forest is going to be harder than we originally thought. The forest is teeming with ferocious beasts that roam unchecked. The prison itself lies deep within, heavily guarded by soldiers. The security has been tightened after the recent break-in. If we charge in without thorough nning, we’ll be sentencing ourselves to death.”

My heart sank at Jett’s words. “What do we do now? We can’t just give up,” I said desperately.

    Makenna’s POV:

Jett swirled the wine ss in his hand gently. His gaze turned distant, as if lost in thought.

Finally, he slowly said, “My n is to stay in Marehelm and earn Dayton’s trust.”

Not quite understanding what I had just heard, I asked, “Stay in Marehelm? Why?”

Jett’s gaze fell on Dayton, who stood not far away, chatting warmly with the Lycan princes. Jett’s face grew unreadable, and he said, “Dayton wants me to stay in Marehelm and work for him. That’s an opportunity to gain his trust. If I do gain his trust, I might be able to infiltrate the werewolf forest.”

“Is that really possible?” I asked with a frown.

The more I thought about it, the deeper my frown grew. Finally, I said, “While this n does have some potential, it would take too much time. Remember that Grace is waiting for us to rescue her, and who knows how long she wouldst.”

In that moment, I remembered that I had wanted to ask Dominic about the pce matters during ourst encounter, but had been interrupted before I could. I still hadn’t found an opportunity to ask about it.

    ?????????????? ????????: ?????????ν?????????????

However, it seemed my chance hade today. I had to find a way to ask Dominic about Grace and Alice, and also about my child, whose fate still hung in the bnce.

The culmination of these thoughts sent frustration surging through me. I nced at Bryan, unsure of what to do.

Should I tell him about the child or not?

These thoughts ran unchecked in my head, sending me down a trail of chaos.

As I struggled with these thoughts, a melodious tune echoed through the banquet hall, and Dayton officially announced the start of the banquet. Everyone began to take their seats ording to the arranged seating n. Iposed myself and sat down.

The three princes sat at the head of the table.

Dayton sat to their left, while Jett took the seat next to him.

I sat next to Jett, and my eyes swept over the exquisite dishes on the table. However, I found that I had no appetite as I picked absentmindedly at the food.

I nced up and saw that Alden was seated across from me.

His expression mirrored my disinterest in being part of such a banquet. His sulking look amused me and helped rx me a bit, making the tedious banquet somewhat bearable.

The banquet progressed, and the clinking of sses and cutlery could be heard around the room. I found myself restless and unable to sit still.

I stood up and excused myself to the restroom. Instead, I headed for the garden.
