Chapter 831

    ?Chapter 831:

My throat felt like sandpaper as I managed to whisper, “I’m fine… but how did you find me?”

Dominic’s sharp gaze raked over me, assessing every scratch and bruise before he replied in his measured voice, “Word of your discovery reached us. We broke free from the pce and rallied our men the moment we heard.”

Fear gripped my heart. “The king’s wrath when he learns of this…”

But Bryan’smanding voice cut through my protests. “That’s a problem for tomorrow. Right now, you’re our only priority. Besides…”

His eyes narrowed as he gazed into the darkness. “Father knows. His troops are already marching.”

I stood frozen, staring at them in disbelief. The enormity of their actions crashed over me like a tidal wave.

My vision blurred with tears as emotion surged through my chest, a tempest of gratitude warring with crushing guilt. These men, these princes, were risking everything they had.

Never in my darkest dreams had I imagined they would go this far—defying their own father, the king himself, all for my sake.

yton tenderly brushed away my tears, his touch as gentle as a summer breeze. “Don’t cry. We’ll keep you safe, I swear it.”

The moment was shattered by Antoni’s ragged voice. Still clutching his arrow-pierced hand, he snarled at the princes, “You dare defy the king’s orders? Have you no fear of his fury?”

Bryan’s lips curved into a dangerous smile.

In one fluid motion, he stepped forward and ground his boot into Antoni’s wounded hand.

“Ah!” Antoni’s screams split the night air.

“Watch your tongue.” Bryan’s voice dripped with venom. “You forget your ce.”

Dominic approached with predatory grace, his cold smile never reaching his eyes as he surveyed Antoni’s crumpled form.

“If memory serves, Antoni,” Dominic began, his smile holding an edge sharp as steel, “aren’t you supposed to be confined to your home? Yet here you are, manding armed men in the dead of night.”

He paused, frost creeping into his voice. “One might call that… rebellion.”

Antoni writhed in agony, words spilling out between gasps of pain. “Makenna is a white wolf… Everything I did was for the Lycan royal family!”

The princes regarded his desperate ims with cold disdain before turning to me, their eyes softening with unspoken concern.

A lump formed in my throat, gratitude threatening to spill forth. But before I could voice it, the rhythmic thunder of marching feet shattered the moment. We found ourselves surrounded by the elite royal soldiers, their gleaming armor a steel cage in the darkness.

    Makenna’s POV:

Through the wall of armored soldiers, my heart stopped at the sight before me. Gracey crumpled on the ground, her body broken and bleeding. Her once lustrous hair was matted with crimson, her clothes hanging in bloody tatters.

“Grace!” I lurched forward instinctively, but Bryan’s iron grip anchored me in ce.

“Don’t be reckless,” he hissed. “We need to wait for our moment.”

I struggled against his hold, desperation wing at my throat.
