Chapter 830

    Chapter 830:

Taking a breath to steady myself, I walked toward Antoni.

A smile of triumph curved Antoni’s lips upon seeing me approach him. He gestured for his soldiers to untie Jett’s weakened roommate.

The poor guy staggered in the opposite direction.

When he passed me, he turned to look at me. His eyes held gratitude, and his lips trembled as though he wanted to say something.

I smiled at him and apologized, “I’m sorry for dragging you into this.”

I then turned back to Antoni and closed the distance between us.

Antoni let out a maniacalugh and said, “I’ll make you wish you were dead, Makenna.”

I was now standing right in front of Antoni.

“Tonight marks the end of you. Do you have anyst words before I send you to hell?” Antoni snarled as he reached out to grab me.

In a wild move, I pulled out the powder Grace had given me and flung it toward Antoni’s face.

The powder scattered through the air.

Antoni, however, wasn’t caught off guard. He quickly pulled one of his men in front of him as a human shield.

The unlucky fellow’s eyes rolled back in his head, and he copsed to the ground.

“You are as predictable as ever. Did you really think such a trick would work on me?” Antoni asked.

Panic overwhelmed me, and I turned to flee. However, Antoni’s soldiers had already surrounded me.

“Makenna!” Jett screamed, charging toward me in a desperate attempt to rescue me.

    ?????????????? ?????????????? ???? g????????ν??????﹐?????

But he, too, was quickly surrounded by Antoni’s men.

I wanted to tell Jett to run, but before I could do so, Antoni’s soldiers pinned me face down to the ground, restraining my knees and arms.

The rough ground scraped painfully against my cheek.

Antoni slowly crouched down and patted my face mockingly.

“You must be a sprinter with all that running you were about to do,” he said with a smirk.

ring daggers at him, I defiantly said, “You’re just a coward who fears the king and decides to take out his anger on me!”

My words hit a nerve. Antoni’s face twisted in anger, and he raised his hand to p me.

However, before the p could connect, there was a whooshing sound. An arrow cut through the air and pierced Antoni’s outstretched hand.

    Makenna’s POV:

A heart-stopping scream pierced the darkness—Antoni’s voice, raw with agony. Before I could process what was happening, arrows sliced through the bitter night wind like deadly whispers.

The soldiers pinning me down crumpled, their throats erupting in fountains of blood that painted my face with warm droplets. The metallic tang filled my senses, threatening to overwhelm me.

Through the haze, I caught sight of three figures emerging from the shadows—the princes, their bows drawn and expressions carved from stone.

yton reached me first, concern etching deep lines around his eyes as he helped me to my feet. “Makenna, are you alright?”
