Chapter 815

    ?Chapter 815:

Although Grace had exined, doubts lingered in my mind. I turned to Jett and asked, “But we can’t touch each other. After I fell unconscious, didn’t you have to…”

I wanted to say, “Didn’t you have to carry me out of the pce?” But before I could finish, I noticed Jett’s face turning bright red. Avoiding my gaze, he said, “I wore gloves to avoid that situation.”

We both understood what he meant by that “situation.”

This, however, told us one thing: the effect of the aphrodisiac could be avoided as long as there was no skin contact.

I gazed out of the window, my mood heavy with grief. The atmosphere inside the car was oppressive, broken only by the sound of the wheels rolling on the ground.

I didn’t know how much time passed before I finally turned to Jett and Grace, asking, “Where are we going now, and what do we do next?”

Both Grace and Jett’s expressions turned serious.

After a moment of silence, Jett said, “I didn’t expect things to turn out this way. The werewolf n has tightened its security. It’s impossible for us to leave through the main gate. Our priority now is to avoid being found by the royal soldiers until we can leave here.”

    Confusion clouded my thoughts.

I had grown up in werewolf territory. Every corner, every turn was etched deep into my memory. Where else could I possibly go if I left this ce?

Grace seemed to sense my unease and spoke gently, “We’re leaving only so we can return prepared, Makenna. We’re only temporarily going away. Once things calm down, we’lle back.”

“Perhaps,” I said with a bitter smile.

“Would you consider going to the Wizard n’s territory?” Jett asked.

    ?????????????? ???????????? ????: g????????ν??????﹒?????

“Wizard n? The wizards and the werewolves have been enemies for generations. Wouldn’t I be walking into certain death if I went to the Wizard n’s territory?” I asked.

“If you’re willing to go, I’ll smooth things over for you. I can guarantee your safety if you trust me,” Jett said, his expression serious.

I bit down on my lip, struggling toe to a decision.

“Take your time. I’ll stand by you no matter what you decide,” Jett promised.

“So will I,” Grace added sincerely.

I nodded, then gazed out the window, my thoughts spiraling, unchecked in my mind.

The car continued to move, and the night rushed past. My heart felt heavy within me.

    Leonardo’s POV:

I paced the grand hall like a restless lion, my frustration mounting with every step. The tension crackled in the air until a subordinate finally appeared, his face taut with unease.

“Did you catch her?” I demanded, my voice sharp as a whip.

The man hesitated, shuffling awkwardly. “Your Majesty, Makenna has fled the pce. We sent trackers after her, but they lost her trail. We don’t know where she’s gone.”

His words hit me like a p. Fury surged through me as I barked, “Keep searching! I want her found at all costs!”

The subordinate turned to leave, but something tugged at my memory. My three sons—their strange behavior tonight—shed through my mind. Narrowing my eyes, I snapped, “Wait!”
