Chapter 810

    ?Chapter 810:

A bitterugh escaped me as I locked eyes with him. “Does that scare you?” I asked, my words carrying a weight that made the king stiffen, as though I’d hit a nerve.

His sharp eyes narrowed, and he sneered. “I am the king! There’s nothing that frightens me. But you, a member of a n that was supposedly wiped out for treason twenty years ago, showing up in my pce… You must have some devious n up your sleeve!”

With a swift flick of his hand, he barked, “Guards! Seize her!”

The soldiers, swift as shadows, closed in around me.

But just as things seemed to reach a boiling point, the three princes stepped forward without hesitation, standing tall in front of me.

“I dare you toy a finger on her!”

Bryan’s eyes zed with cold fury, his voice a low growl that seemed to freeze the air around us. The soldiers faltered, exchanging hesitant nces, none brave enough to act on the king’smand.

Leonardo’s fury red, his eyes wide with rage as he pointed a trembling finger at the three princes. “What is this madness? Are you really going to side with a traitor against me?”

Dominic, ever the voice of reason, stood tall, hisposure unshaken. “Makenna may have hidden her true identity as a White Wolf, but she’s kind-hearted and has never wronged anyone. Is it fair to condemn her for the circumstances of her birth? That’s pure nonsense!”

yton, standing by my side like a rock, met Leonardo’s re without a hint of fear. His eyes burned with determination, and his voice cut through the tension like steel. “No matter what you say, we will not let you harm her today.”

“How dare you…” Leonardo’s face turned crimson, his body trembling with fury as he struggled to find words, his anger choking him momentarily.

    ?????????? ???? ??????????????: ?????????????????????????

Through the storm of chaos, I remained calm, my gaze fixed on Leonardo’s seething eyes. The question I had longed to ask finally slipped from my lips, quiet yet charged with meaning.

“I only want to know one thing—was the White Wolf n truly destroyed for a rebellion?”

    Makenna’s POV:

As soon as I spoke, Leonardo’s fury froze mid-breath, his menacing expression hardening into something even more unnerving.

My words had clearly hit a nerve, leaving him rooted in ce, his re boring into me with unbridled hostility.

I stood my ground, calm and unflinching, my face a mask of unreadability. Not a flicker of emotion betrayed my thoughts as I pressed further, my voiceced with defiance. “What’s wrong, Your Majesty? Cat got your tongue, or are you simply too afraid to answer?”

Deep down, I knew there was no way out for me now. But if these were to be my final moments, I intended to drag the truth about the White Wolf n’s annihtion into the light.

Leonardo’s silence stretched on. A bitter smile tugged at my lips, cold and sharp like the edge of a de. “Ah, I see,” I drawled mockingly. “Your silence speaks volumes. Perhaps you don’t deny it because you were the one who led the rebellion all those years ago?”

That remark was the spark that set the tinder alight. Leonardo exploded, his fury zing anew. He flung his arm in a wild gesture and bellowed, his voice hoarse with rage, “Seize her! At all costs!”

His reaction only solidified my suspicions. Something about the White Wolf n’s fate was buried deep, tangled in shadows and deceit, and now I had struck a chord too close to the truth.
