Chapter 785

    ?Chapter 785:

Dominic’s eyes locked with mine, as though he were searching for the very essence of who I was, trying to unravel the deepest corners of my soul. A faint, almost bitter smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

With deliberate slowness, he asked, “If I were to tell you everything, what would you do?”

I dropped my gaze, the weight of his question pressing on me. After what felt like an eternity, I lifted my head, my eyes now filled with resolve. “I would save them. No matter the cost. I have to save them.”

“Even if it means putting yourself in grave danger? Even if it costs you your life?” Dominic’s face clouded over, a shadow of something darker creeping into his expression.

I let out a short, self-deprecatingugh, my voice steady and defiant. “I’m a white wolf. In this pce, every day feels like teetering on the edge of a cliff, surrounded by danger. What more is there to fear?”

Dominic didn’t respond, and the room was filled with an ufortable silence, thick with unsaid words. Time seemed to stretch on as the quiet gnawed at me, and the tension in the air became unbearable.

Finally, with a sly, almost teasing smile, Dominic broke the stillness. “If you want to know more about those people, you’ll have to offer something in return.”

At his words, a wave of anger rushed over me, and I snapped, “Doesn’t what I told you already count? Haven’t we already made an exchange?”

Dominic’s eyebrow arched slightly, unmoved by my frustration. “I never agreed to any exchange. You’re the one who decided to offer that information.”

“You—” My mind went nk in my fury. Without thinking, I grabbed a pillow from the nearby couch and threw it at him.

But Dominic was quick, easily sidestepping the pillow with a casual flick, his smirk remaining firmly in ce.

    ?????????????? ????????: g???????????????????????

“Think carefully. You might not get another chance.” His smile remained as crooked as ever, his eyes still withholding any answers about the remaining members of the white wolf n.

His audacity only stoked the fire of my anger, and I spun on my heel, ready to leave in frustration.

But as I took a few steps, my thoughts turned to the living white wolves who were still enduring unimaginable torment. The guilt weighed on me, and my steps grew slower, reluctant.

I hesitated for a moment, my heart torn between fury and desperation. Finally, I turned back, forcing my anger to simmer down. “What is it you want me to trade?”

Dominic’s gaze was inscrutable, his eyes dark and unreadable as he spoke softly. “You.”

“Me?” The word stumbled out of my mouth, my confusion palpable. “What do you mean?”

Before I could even process his answer, Dominic’s hand shot out, pulling me into his embrace and sitting me firmly on hisp.

“Let me go!” I struggled, my hands pushing against his chest, but his grip was unbreakable, like iron, and I couldn’t escape.

My anger surged again, and I gritted my teeth, my voice sharp as I cursed him. “You jerk, let me go!”

Dominic paid no mind to my protests, his expression calm as he leaned down, his lips meeting mine in a kiss. It was warm, unexpected, and soft, leaving me stunned and breathless, my thoughts scattering into nothingness.

When he finally pulled away, his eyes held mine with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. “Exchange yourself for the remaining white wolves. From this moment on, you cannot ignore me or harbor any resentment. If I’m satisfied, I’ll tell you where they are.” He paused, leaning even closer, his breath warm against my ear as he whispered, “But you should know this: those white wolf n members are fragile. If you wait too long, they may not survive.”
