    I locked eyes with Makenna, drawing in a steadying breath as I prepared to shatter the fragile reality she knew.


    “Your father was destined to be the King of the Lycan royal family!”


    “What… what are you saying?” Makenna’s face went ck with disbelief, her mouth parting as though words had failed her.
