“Are you saying the baby’s issues had nothing to do with you? My sister did it all just for your money?” rinda sneered. “Glenn, you’re a jerk! You’re making up all these lies!”
“I gave her two options. She could terminate the deformed fetus, and I would give her ten million dors once. If she chose to keep the baby, I’d cover all the medical expenses and care, but I wouldn’t give her a cent.”
“Rubbish! My sister didn’t get a single cent!” rinda was adamant that Reyna received nothing from Glenn. During that period, her sister had lived in poverty.
“She went with the first option,” Glenn said. “A monthter, her belly was noticeablyrger. She came back, asking for another ten million. By then, the baby had serious malformations and multiple gic issues, needing to be delivered early. I handed fifteen million to an intermediary, who would give her the money after the delivery.”
But Reyna never came back. She went to a low-quality, illegal clinic, and she died on the operating table.
The room fell eerily quiet, with only Glenn’s words piercing through the silence and reaching the minds of those present. Ellie’s breathing became shallow. She had believed Glenn didn’t want children and had hoped that either her child or Daniel’s would inherit the family wealth because he preferred to remain childless.
Unexpectedly, it turned out to be linked to this past incident…
“No, my sister wouldn’t do that!” rinda insisted, shaking her head fiercely. “You’re lying to me! Glenn, you’re lying to me!”
Glenn handed rinda a blood test report from before Reyna’s death and asked, “When you imed her body, did you notice the needle marks on her arms and neck?” Drugs were no joke. They were a bottomless pit, a hell that destroyed lives. And they were the cause of Reyna’s baby’s deformities. Glenn had really looked forward to the unborn child, but instead, he had been met with deceit! His generosity had been met with greed!
To this day, Glenn couldn’t figure out if Reyna had started using drugs because of his money, or if she had always been interested in them and tried to use the baby to get his cash.
“No way… You’re lying… Reyna wouldn’t be on drugs… No way…” rinda shook her head wildly, crying and muttering to herself, trying to convince herself of the denial.

“I’m sorry, Ellie. It’s my fault,” Glenn said, looking at Ellie with deep remorse and sadness.
Kaiden had been holding Ellie’s hand. He could feel her small hand tightening without her realizing, and when she heard Glenn’s apology, her grip rxed.
Ellie shook her head. “Glenn, rinda just wants to make you feel guilty and suffer. Don’t buy into her games.”
This wasn’t what Glenn had wanted, nor was it something he could have predicted.
“Ellie, what’s your n for rinda?” Glenn asked her. In this situation, she had the authority to decide.
“Turn her and the evidence Harry gathered over to the police.” The charge of intentional harm couldnd her a ten-year sentence. Ellie obeyed thew. But Glenn felt such a person deserved to be locked up for good!
He had the bodyguards take rinda away.
“rinda, where’s the perfume you used on Ellie before?” Kaiden stopped her. If they could get their hands on that perfume, it might help find a treatment for Ellie’s eye problem.
rinda’s distressed expression suddenly shifted to a smirk. “That’s gone!”
“What do you mean?” Kaiden snapped, grabbing rinda by the cor and lifting her up. rinda choked and coughed from the pressure. She took satisfaction in Kaiden’s worried face and said, “A man named Kristopher took me at the airport, and he took all the leftover perfume with him!”
