    “Pack your things. You can stay at my ce in the nearbymunity,” Levy said kindly, ncing at Coal Ball on the floor. “I don’t mind having it around for now.”


    Coal Ball seemed to sense it was being discussed and leapt up unhappily. “Woof!”

    “I’m not living there right now,” Levy exined. “If you feel bad about it, you can pay me rent. Think of it as me renting it out to you.”


    Flossie knew she should have declined his offer, but somehow she nodded in agreement.


    Most of Flossie’s stuff remained in the school apartment. She only had a few clothes and essential items here, which wasn’t much; she could fit everything into two suitcases.
