?Chapter 1003:
“Let’s knock off early today. Dinner’s on me.”
“Oh! Thank you, boss!” Flossie smiled.
They left the office for theb. As they approached the door, they spotted a ck dog sitting patiently with lollipops on its back. Flossie was known for her fondness for lollipops.
“Woof!” The dog, seeing Flossie, wagged its tail and bounded over.
“Coal Ball, sit!”
Flossie promptly stepped in front of Ellie and instructed Coal Ball to sit. The dog obeyed, its stubby tail swishing eagerly on the floor, gazing up at Flossie with its dark eyes.
“Ellie, meet my dog. Sorry, I didn’t realize it was here… It’s been dewormed, so it’s very clean,” Flossie exined.
“No worries. Actually, pregnant women can pet small animals. I like them,” Ellie replied with a smile. Then she nced at Coal Ball’s back and asked, “Why does it have lollipops on its back?”
Flossie looked puzzled too. “Coal Ball has a vet appointment today. I needed to stay in theb, so I asked Amy to take it to the pet hospital… Let me give her a call and find out.”
She then dialed Amy’s number.
After a brief conversation, Flossie’s expression turned strange.
“Amy said… It was Levy who took Coal Ball to the pet hospital,” Flossie revealed.
As soon as Flossie finished speaking, Coal Ball, lying on the floor, let out an angry bark. The lollipops had likely been ced there by Levy.
Flossie removed the lollipops from Coal Ball, and it kicked one away as if releasing its frustration.
“Looks like Coal Ball isn’t fond of Levy,” Ellie remarked, trying not tough.
For a moment, Flossie was at a loss for words. She wasn’t sure what Levy was thinking. They hadn’t been in touch for several days, and Flossie had believed she wouldn’t have any dealings with him again.
As the boss, Ellie treated theb staff to an early finish. Since Coal Ball couldn’t enter the restaurant, it was tied outside the door. During the meal, a waiter entered and informed Flossie that Coal Ball had suddenly started barking excitedly.

“Woof, woof, woof!”
A man was crouching in front of Coal Ball. Today, he wore a ck T-shirt, making him look much younger than when he usually wore a suit.
Coal Ball had not taken a liking to him.
“Levy, what are you doing here?” Flossie was taken aback by the sight.
“I take the time and effort to drop off the dog at yourb, and I’m supposed to leave immediately?” he replied.
“Woof!” Coal Ball barked unhappily.
Levy had been lingering near theb, but Flossie didn’t think to reach out to him or check if he was nearby. She simply left with the dog.
At that moment, Levy was so angry that he didn’t know what to do, so he justughed.
After calming down, he followed them all the way. When Flossie and the others entered the restaurant to eat, Levy, feeling bored, could only entertain himself with the dog.
“I told Amy to take Coal Ball to the hospital,” Flossie emphasized.
