Chapter 940

    ?Chapter 940:

Theo observed Flossie and sighed in disappointment. He had almost caught onto crucial information from Levy. It had been so close!

Flossie opened the bedside table, helped Levy sit up, and ced the porridge there.

“Don’t you like it?” Noticing his hesitation, Flossie quickly remembered and apologized, “Oh, sorry, I forgot your hand was injured!”

She scooped a spoonful of porridge, blew on it gently, and fed it to Levy as she spoke.

He almost said, “I can use my left hand,” but he bit his tongue and ate the porridge. It was pleasantly soft and sweet.

“Well, I’m off now,” Theo said, touching his nose awkwardly. He felt it wasn’t the right ce for him to stay.

Flossie set down the spoon and escorted Theo out of the room.

Afterward, Theo took out his phone and sent two messages.

    Levy’s phone buzzed.

    He unlocked it.

    Theo’s message started with, “Humph!”

Then he followed up with, “Shame on you.”

Theo clearly understood Levy’s injury. His right hand was severely hurt, even the muscles on his right side were affected, but his left hand was mostly fine.

Levy intentionally didn’t mention this to Flossie just now.

After checking the messages, Levy was about to set the phone down…

He nced up and noticed Flossie standing at the foot of the bed, watching him. More precisely, she was looking at his left hand, which was holding the phone. Levy remained quiet.

He felt neither guilty nor embarrassed. Setting the phone down, he leaned back on the bed, as if expecting Flossie to continue feeding him.

    Flossie stood motionless.

“My right hand can’t move,” Levy stated.

“Your left hand is quite agile,” Flossie replied.

The serious look on her face was unmistakable, as if to say, “You can’t fool me.”

“Alright, I’ll feed myself,” Levy sighed.

With that, he started eating using his left hand.

He took two spoonfuls of porridge into his mouth and then abruptly paused.

“How do you know my left hand is agile?” Levy asked, suddenly looking up.

Initially startled, Flossie quicklyposed herself and replied, “I heard about it.”

Without pressing further, Levy resumed eating his porridge. His long, thick eyshes hid the darkness in his eyes.

He had never disyed his nimble left hand publicly. Even during college, no one had known he was left-handed. How had Flossie found out?

Since Levy had just had surgery, he had no appetite. He ate a few bites of porridge and then set the spoon down.

“That puppy is going to have to stay at the veterinary hospital for a couple of days,” he suddenly told Flossie.
