Chapter 910

    ?Chapter 910:

“I should be asking you what’s bothering you. Did you have too much fun teasing Thomasina?”

What did he mean by teasing? Ellie wasn’t in the mood for small talk right now. She bit her lip and asked nervously, “Do you… do you know the results of the bone marrow match?”

    “No.”

“Your bone marrow doesn’t match your mom’s, but they’ve found the right match.”

Kaiden keenly sensed something was amiss. His family hadn’t reached out to him first about this matter; instead, they had contacted Ellie. That suggested it involved Ellie somehow.

Without leaving him in suspense, Ellie revealed, “They found a sessful bone marrow match between Carole and your mother.”

“Really? What a coincidence…” Kaiden narrowed his eyes.

“Yeah, quite the coincidence,” Ellie replied with a wry smile. “I’ve seen the test results report.”

Kaiden now understood why Ellie was upset. He grasped her hand and spoke softly. “If you don’t want Carole to return, we can send my mom abroad.”

    “That’s not feasible.”

Even though Brisa’s condition was stable, she needed medication year-round and wasn’t in good health. A long journey would likely worsen her condition. Plus, Jorge wouldn’t agree to it.

“I believe they have already sent someone to bring Carole back.”

    “I’m sorry, El.”

Kaiden tightened his grip on her fingers and frowned. He knew the matter greatly troubled Ellie. For a moment, he even considered abandoning Carole’s bone marrow donation.

Kaiden didn’t feel much affection for Brisa, but he didn’t dare reveal such callous thoughts to Ellie.

    M?????? ?????????????? ???? ??????????????????.??????

Wrapping her arms around Kaiden’s neck, Ellie nestled her face against him and murmured, “Kaiden, I can’t prevent Carole from returning, but I’m feeling a bit upset.”

The person Ellie least wanted to encounter kept appearing in her thoughts. Even though she understood that Kaiden’s heart belonged to her alone, she couldn’t bear the idea of Carole returning.

“Darling, sometimes you shouldn’t be so kind,” Kaiden whispered, kissing Ellie’s ear to reassure her.

It was clear that Ellie dreaded the prospect of seeing Carole again, but faced with Brisa’s life hanging in the bnce, Ellie would reluctantly admit, “I can’t prevent Carole from returning.” In Ellie’s worldview, every life deserved respect. No opportunity for survival should be denied.

Therefore, Kaiden dared not reveal his ruthless side to her.

That day, Ellie was drained both physically and mentally. As Kaiden pulled up to Moon Manor, she was already dozing off in the passenger seat, her head tilted. He gently carried her to their master bedroom, tucked her in, and then headed to his study.
