?Chapter 868:
“Are you intimidated now?” he asked, his tone stern and icy.
“Mr… Mr. Lambert!” the reporters stammered, taken aback.
The Lambert family was well known for their business ventures in Estoqua, and with Glenn Lambert frequently in the public eye, the local reporters recognized him immediately.
“Ellie, did they hurt you?” Glenn asked, his concern evident as he looked at Ellie. Still caught off guard by his sudden appearance, Ellie just shook her head in disbelief.
During their conversation, Glenn had already signaled for bodyguards to surround Ellie.
The airport bustled with people rushing in all directions, yet those who had time to spare couldn’t resist pausing to watch themotion. It was human nature to be curious, no matter who they were.
“Why are you defending Ellie, Mr. Lambert? Have you been deceived?” a reporter asked.
Upon hearing this, Glenn straightened his posture and swiftly shifted his demeanor. His behavior when addressing the reporters was much different from the way he stood before Ellie.
He said, “I believe there might be an issue with your brain!” Glenn’s bluntness left Ellie speechless.
Another reporter asked, “Mr. Lambert, I’ve heard that Carole is your sister. It’s been said that Ellie and her husband deliberately prevented your sister froming back home. What are your thoughts on this?”
In response, Glenn snatched the reporter’s microphone and smashed it to the ground, dering, “There’s my answer!”
Ellie was taken aback. She was at a loss for words.
While Ellie was dumbfounded by Glenn’s words to the reporters, it seemed the reporters were ustomed to such behavior. The reporter remained unfazed even after his microphone was smashed. Instead, he pulled out his phone and opened a link, asking, “Mr. Lambert, have you seen this video?”
The video was obviously recorded in secret. They could only catch a glimpse of Carole lying on the bed and Ellie standing by her side. However, their conversation was audibly clear.

“I heard that you are pregnant. I guess I arrived just in time yesterday. Pregnant women need extra care; they’re delicate.”
“Kaiden mentioned you’re keen on returning home.”
“Yes! That’s where I grew up. My family and friends are all there. Ellie, I can’t bear the thought of being stranded in a foreignnd all by myself.”
“NO.”
This was what Ellie and Carole had discussed in the hospital room. However, the conversation had been shortened and edited. Ellie’s straightforward “no” signaled her reluctance to allow Carole to return home, revealing Ellie’s domineering nature.
“Mr. Lambert, the news is that your family is nning to return to your homnd. However, your sister, Carole, is banned from her own country and hometown. Does that seem fair to you?” the reporter asked.
