    When Ellie discovered she was pregnant, she had to decline some invitations for Parasti Fashion Week. Instead, she agreed to attend several shows hosted by toppanies with whom she had good ties.


    After Ellie selected outfits for the event and handed them to Kaiden, he assisted her with packing.


    Feeling cheerful after picking out her outfits, she settled into a chair and eagerly instructed Kaiden on how to pack them in the suitcase.


    Looking up at Ellie’s radiant smile, Kaiden felt his mood lift.


    “Do you really enjoy it when I pack for you?”


    “Of course! Your time is precious, and here you are, dedicating it to helping me pack. I feel quite fortunate!”


    Once he zipped the suitcase shut, Kaiden rose to his feet and lifted Ellie up as if she were a child.


    Instinctively, Ellie let out a scream and swiftly wrapped her arms around his neck, steadying herself.


    “I have not only dedicated my time to packing for you,” Kaiden gently said, setting her on the bed, hinting at his broader dedication. “I’ve invested a lot of time in you, yet you haven’t been as cheerful as this.”


    Ellie looked puzzled.


    Kaiden gestured towards the bed, hinting, “Remember, you’ve shed tears over this.”


    Suddenly, Ellie grasped what Kaiden was hinting at.


    “Why are you bringing up our intimate moments, Kaiden? You are so annoying.” With a grin, Kaiden shifted the conversation, saying, “I’m swamped with meetingstely. I’ll catch up with you in Parasti next week.”


    “No need, I’ve got this,” Ellie insisted. “Baylee’s with me, after all.”

    She knew that many pregnant women work well into their pregnancy, so there was no reason for her to be an exception.


    Apart from some morning sickness, her routine wasrgely unchanged.


    Kaiden remained silent.


    Ellie stood, leaned in, and nted a quick, sweet kiss on his lips.


    Kaiden’s frown began to fade.


    She kissed him again, and his mood visibly improved.


    “Don’t think you can distract me with kisses, Ellie,” Kaiden said, even as he tenderly caressed her face. They shared a moment of closeness.


    Ellie, hand on her belly, yfully retorted, “I have to resort to such tactics. After all, your child is still growing inside me. I can’t offer much else right now!”
