?Chapter 828:
She began to feel drowsy. When she finally drifted off, Kaiden stayed with her until she was sound asleep on the bed. Only then did he retreat to the study.
It was too early for him to catch any sleep.
If Bruce showed up now with a work report, he’d be in for a surprise.
Because instead of a financial report, Kaiden was engrossed in a pregnancy book!
It detailed the dos and don’ts of pregnancy and also showed what to prepare for before childbirth.
So the next morning, as Ellie entered the living room, she noticed a delivery of various boxes arriving at the vi.
“Well… What’s happening here?” Ellie asked.
“These are all bought by your husband. Baby things,” Cayson exined, nodding towards the small warehouse. “Yesterday, when you were resting, Mr. Lambert also sent over a bunch of baby items, and Miss Katharine got you some clothes too.”
Ellie eagerly tore open the cartons, her eyes widening in amazement.
Inside, she found an assortment of treasures: toys, educational cards, three cribs of different sizes, and six strollers, each with its own style.
Heading into the small warehouse, Ellie discovered even more: additional strollers, cribs, piles of baby clothes, and a wardrobe filled with maternity wear. It was incredible!
She was only two months pregnant. Were these preparations too early?
“Ma’am, should I store these items in the warehouse for now?” Cayson asked. “The nursery is still being decorated. It’ll be ready in about two months. We can move everything in then.”
“Nursery? Being decorated?”
“Yes, Mr. Thorpe has turned a guest room on the first floor and arge room on the second floor into nurseries. To avoid disturbing your rest, renovations will begin when you’re not at home.”
Stunned, Ellie called Baylee to share the news.

These people were certainly enthusiastic!
Suddenly, Ellie couldn’t help but notice something odd. “You heard me mention my connection to the Lambert family, yet you’re not surprised?”
Baylee confessed, “I actually knew beforehand. But Katharine hadn’t identified who meddled with your birth records. For safety, she kept it from you… Are you upset with me?”
“Of course not.”
“Good,” Baylee said. “El, you’ve searched for your family for years. I’m genuinely happy for you!” But…
There lingered an ufortable presence—Carole. Neither wanted to broach the subject.
They hoped Carole would never resurface.
In the GT Group, Kaiden emerged from a meeting.
