    Kristopher paused for a moment before responding softly, “That’s alright.”


    Just as Ellie was about to end the call, Kristopher’s voice stopped her.


    “Take extra care from now on. Try not to be alone.” His words of caution appeared unexpectedly.


    Ellie wondered if Kristopher had somehow found out about her pregnancy.


    It shouldn’t be possible.


    Then why did he suddenly ask her to be careful?


    “Okay, thank you, Mr. Wright.”


    After she hung up, Ellie was left feeling a mix of confusion and guilt towards Kristopher.


    But it was no big deal!


    Kaiden was waiting for her in the lounge area.


    Suddenly, he appeared to notice something and nced towards the hallway. The nurse tried to ask the three people from Lambert’s family whom they were searching for, but she couldn’t keep up with them.


    Kaiden stood up.


    “What happened to my sister? Is she sick?” Glenn’s expression was serious, and his demeanor made the nearby nurses step back slightly.


    “She’s here for a prenatal check-up.”


    Kaiden didn’t question how Glenn knew Ellie was at the hospital.


    Given Glenn’s authoritative nature, it wasn’t shocking that he had someone keeping an eye on Ellie.


    “She is pregnant?!” Daniel was astounded.


    It all seemed to be happening rather quickly.
