?Chapter 799:
With that, he turned and strode toward the examination room. In truth, he didn’t see the need for a family member to apany him to such a significant exam. While he considered Ellie’s behavior a waste of time, he admired her dedication. No one else would be patient enough to linger at the school gate for hours, waiting to drive him home. He couldn’t help butugh, pondering how fortunate Kaiden was to have a wonderful wife like Ellie.
Meanwhile, Ellie stepped out of the car. She closed her eyes, leaning against the door and enjoying the warmth of the gentle sunlight.
After a while, she felt the sunlight dimming as something blocked it. Opening her eyes, she saw Kristopher peering down at her with a faint smile. His shadow cast over her.
Ellie straightened up, her eyes brightening with pleasant surprise. “Good morning, Mr. Wright! What a coincidence! You’re also here.”
Kristopher grinned. “I happened to pass by. Your face looked familiar from a distance, so I decided toe over and take a look. What brings you here?”
She replied, “Kaiden’s cousin is taking the college entrance examination today. I was the one who drove him here.”
The smile on his face faded slightly. Kristopher rolled up his sleeve, checking his watch. “The exam will likelyst for a while. It could take up to two hours. I’m free at the moment. How about we go to the cafe?”
After a brief moment of hesitation, Ellie agreed. A casual conversation seemed like a good way to pass the time.AdChoicesADVERTISING
Unbeknownst to them, there were individuals observing them from not far away.
Katharine gently patted Glenn’s shoulder. “Glenn, look! That’s Ellie.”
Glenn, in his thirties, possessed a prominent Roman nose and sharply defined cheekbones. His reserved demeanor, impassive countenance, andmanding presence were characteristic of a leader. With a cigar clutched between his fingers, he fixed his gaze on Ellie, bathed in sunlight beside a cafe.
He gestured toward Kristopher, who was standing next to Ellie. “Who’s that man? Is that Kaiden? He doesn’t resemble Kaiden.”

Katharine rified, “No, he’s not Kaiden. I’m not sure who he is. Would you like to go over and greet Ellie?”
Glenn’s voice rose slightly. “No, I don’t feel presentable in this suit.” Katharine quickly covered her mouth to stifle herughter.
Glenn proposed, “Let’s go meet Kaiden first.” He proceeded to snap a photo of Ellie and that man before rolling up the car window.
The car jolted along the road. Glenn stared at the photo. Suddenly, he lifted his head and turned to Katharine.
Katharine inquired, “Is something amiss?”
Glenn pointed at the man in the photo. “Do you recognize this man?”
Katharine scrutinized the image closely, racking her brain for any recollection. “I recall him now. His name is Kristopher Wright. He was reported to be a wealthy businessman who recently returned from abroad.”
