Chapter 792

    ?Chapter 792:

Ellie shut her eyes, feeling overwhelmed by a deep sense of helplessness. Over the past few days, she had asked Brisa to stay multiple times, and Brisa had agreed each time. But now, everything had suddenly changed.

In the end, Jorge was the most important thing in Brisa’s life.

To Brisa, her son’s well-being was her priority.

Ellie cast a sympathetic nce towards Kaiden. His face remained impassive, and his reaction to Brisa’s choice showed no surprise.

Brisa left with the old butler without looking back, her departure showing no regret. The main house seemed to return to its regr state, as if Brisa had never been there.

Kaiden was about to head upstairs for his usual shower, but his posture seemed to carry invisible wounds.

Ellie quickened her pace, reaching out to hug him from behind, pressing her cheek against his back.

Kaiden paused and naturally held onto her hands around his waist. “Hrm?”

Ellie shook her head, then remembered he couldn’t see her. “I just felt like giving you a hug.”

The staff around them quietly moved away, sensing the moment between them.

Kaiden took Ellie upstairs into the master bedroom. As soon as the door closed behind them, he gently pushed her against it, kissing her deeply.

This kiss was different from their usual gentle and flirtatious ones; it felt more like a deeply hurt animal letting out its pain and seekingfort.

Ellie initially responded, going along with him, but soon found herself simply following his lead. She realized his natural talent in this was beyond her ability to match.

It wasn’t until Ellie began to feel a sharp ache in her chest, gasping for air, that Kaiden finally let her go.

    “Sorry.”

Kaiden gazed at her tender lips, softly touching them with his fingers, acknowledging that he had gotten carried away. He chuckled at himself, a self-mocking tone in hisugh, as he looked deeply into Ellie’s eyes.

“Ellie, I never knew what it was to lose control before you came into my world.”

Ellie understood what he meant—she was the one ce where he could freely express himself, without holding back.

“I’m d to be your harbor,” she responded, her voice soft, her hands gently cradling his face. “Kaiden, you’re a good person; it’s just that your mother chose differently. Everyone has their choices to make.”

Kaiden’s lips pressed tightly together, silently agreeing with Ellie, although his eyes flickered with a hint of disdain.

After a moment, Ellie asked, “If, in the future, we have a child, and there’s a situation where both the child and I need you, but you can only choose one, who would you pick?”

    “You.”
