    Leaning casually against the shoe cab, Kaiden gazed at Ellie with a rxed demeanor. His gaze stirred a hint of guilt within her.


    “Why are you staring at me like that?”


    “Why isn’t this hotel named Rich Hotel?” Kaiden asked.

    Kaiden gestured towards the shoes in the shoe cab and inquired, “You obviously own this hotel. Come on. What kind of hotel provides bunny-style slippers for their guests?”


    There was a brief silence. Ellie instinctively wiggled her toes, causing the rabbit ears on her slippers to twitch.


    Kaiden nodded toward the bathrobe in Ellie’s hand and remarked, “That bathrobe doesn’t match the hotel’s style either.”


    Ellie found herself at a loss for words, racking her brain for what to say.


    “No more excuses this time?” Kaiden smiled.
