Chapter 784

    ?Chapter 784:

Moreover, after so many months, Baylee finally realized that she couldn’t drive Marvin away. All things considered, she decided it would be best to give Marvin and herself a chance.

When Ellie finally hung up a momentter, she found Brisa staring at her excitedly, as if waiting for her to spill the tea.

“Well, a good friend of mine has fallen in love,” Ellie shared. “She invited me out to celebrate. What do you think? Are you interested? Do you want toe?”

Despite being somewhat dull, Brisa was still proficient when it came to social etiquette. It had been hammered into her, after all.

She shook her head and said, “Oh, I have no business being there. You young people enjoy your time.”

When Kaiden came hometer that evening, Ellie discovered that Marvin had also extended the invitation.

“When did you be friends with Marvin?” Brisa said in confusion. “You’ve known each other since you were kids, but you barely said a word to each other every time you met.”

Ellie narrowed her eyes suspiciously at Kaiden. She could hazard a guess.

“Perhaps they’ve bonded over a mutual need,” Ellie snickered.

As far as she knew, Kaiden and Marvin had only started being in close contact when she and Baylee decided to stay at the alumni guesthouse.

Kaiden pressed his lips into a thin line. He toyed with the idea of sending Brisa away from the main building. He didn’t want to stay under the same roof as his mother for another day.

Brisa was oblivious to Kaiden’s frustration, as she had just casually brought it up. She turned to Ellie and said, “Since your friend is treating you to a meal, you need to get them a decent gift. And make sure it’s for a couple!”

Ellie pondered it for a few seconds. “You’re right. Do you have any suggestions?”

“Just go to the ancestral warehouse and see if you can find something suitable,” Kaiden interjected.

    Ancestral warehouse…

Ellie froze at his use of the words.

It turned out that Kaiden didn’t have a single collection of artifacts, but multiple collections of various items. Some had been given to him as gifts, while others were acquired by his subordinates from different auctions. The warehouse spanned several hundred square meters, resembling more of a museum gallery than anything else.

There were disys of jewelry, home ornaments, antique porcin, limited action figures, stamp collections, an assortment of jade pieces, out-of-print currency, and many more. They were arranged by category, and each disy was shielded by a protectiveyer to keep the items free from dust.

In addition to these, there was also a good number of limited edition sports cars and sedans parked in the garage.

In the end, Ellie and Brisa selected a pair of couple watches.
