?Chapter 772:
This irked Omiros. “I’ll understand as long as you exin it,” he retorted.
“Okay. Why do you think Carole would suddenly drop this bomb?” Baylee asked.
“Because she wants to help Kaiden…”
Omiros started, but then something struck him.
Carole’s video was still ying on his phone, and her words rang in his ears. Leo’s psychiatric evaluation could have been released through any other medium, but Carole had chosen to present it in a video.
Omiros’s expression shifted. “Carole did this to make it seem like she has a special rtionship with Kaiden. And it will make people feel like Kaiden owes her.”
In the GT Group, the public rtions department’s workload suddenly lessened thanks to Carole’s video.
The video was still ying on the tablet in Kaiden’s hands.
He paused it on the close-up shot of the psychiatric evaluation report.
Soon, dusk arrived.
Cayson arranged for a driver to take Baylee home.
When Kaiden stepped out of the car, he saw Ellie sitting on a rocking chair outside the manor in a white dress, gazing at the sunset.
Ellie was lost in thought when, suddenly, a warm breath grazed her ear, startling her.
A pair of strong arms wrapped around her, and a kiss was dropped on her neck.
“Why didn’t you make any noise? You really scared me!” Ellie snorted, her frustration evident as she looked at Kaiden.
Kaiden simplyughed deeply but said nothing. Instead, he wrapped his arms around her from behind.
“Feeling upset about something?” Ellie paused before adding, “Why do you seem upset, even though the issue has been resolved? Shouldn’t Talon and Erick be the ones worrying now?”

Kaiden remained silent.
Later, after dinner, they cleaned up and went to bed.
“I’ve just found out my brother has depression,” Kaiden revealed out of the blue, staring at the ceiling. “And it’s not just mild. It’s severe.” His voice was calm, devoid of any noticeable emotion.
Still, Ellie could sense his deep guilt and self-reproach.
Turning to face him, Ellie snuggled into his arms. Resting one hand on his chest, she looked up at his profile.
“Kaiden, you can’t me yourself. If someone with depression hides their struggles, it’s really hard for others to notice.”
Regarding Leo’s death, Carole shared some of the me too.
If Carole hadn’t helped conceal Leo’s condition, maybe someone else could have noticed and helped, possibly preventing the tragedy.
