Chapter 734

    ?Chapter 734:

Before Kaiden could finish his sentence, the phone rang once more.

This time, it was Kaiden’s phone that was ringing.

Seeing his expression darken again, Ellie felt a flicker of amusement rise within her.

Kaiden rolled over, drawing Ellie into his embrace, yfully pinching her waist. Ticklish, Ellie instinctively squirmed until she inadvertently ignited a spark of yfulness between them.

Sensing the burgeoning intimacy, she dared not move again.

Meanwhile, Kaiden answered the call, and Bruce’s anxious voice resonated from the other end.

“Boss, something has happened to your father!”

In a high-end private hospital in Critport, Talon and his family anxiously waited outside the operating room.

“Grandpa’s not going to… die, is he?” Erick asked his dad, his voice filled with fear.

“Quiet down!” Talon scolded, casting a worried nce at the operating room’s red light.

Erick looked around, thankful that they were alone.

He whispered, “To be honest, bringing him here might have been a mistake… especially since he favors Kaiden!”

Genesis, as Jorge’s daughter-inw, chose not to voice her thoughts on Jorge’s critical situation, not wanting to upset her husband.

Yet, deep down, she agreed with her son.

Bringing Jorge to the hospital might not have been the best decision; perhaps it would have been better if he had passed away.

“What do you know? If someone at the Old Mansion notifies Kaiden, imagine the trouble,” Talon retorted.

“You’re thinking ahead, dad!” Erick responded, appreciating his father’s foresight.

“Jorge suffered a sudden stroke and is still in surgery. We’re waiting for more details. ording to our informants at the mansion, the stroke urred in the study during a heated argument between Talon, Erick, and him,” Bruce exined as he drove, silencing the car with his report.

Jorge had a history of high blood pressure, and it was well-known that his temper could lead to serious health issues.

Kaiden kept his cool when he found out about Jorge’s trouble, not showing any sorrow or stress.

    He didn’t look happy either.

It was as if he had grown indifferent to anything involving Jorge.

The streetlights threw strange, uneven shadows across his face through the car window, making him seem even more distant and hard to reach.

“Kaiden.” Ellie reached out to hold his hand, her voice gentle.

Kaiden didn’t say anything but squeezed her hand in return.

Her hand felt soft, tender, and smooth.
