?Chapter 721:
Laughing and whispering among themselves, the students began to leave for their next sses.
“Mr. Thorpe looks even better in person than on TV!”
“I’m so d I came to Critport University. It’s amazing to be Ellie’s junior and even see the CEO of GT Group in person!”
“Imagine how adorable their child will be. Can’t wait!”
Ellie was momentarily lost for words. There’s no child in the picture yet, so let’s not rush things.
“Why are you here?” she asked Kaiden, struggling to keep a straight face, her annoyance at his sudden appearance mixed with a hint of happiness.
“Don’t you want me here?” Kaiden replied smoothly, taking Ellie’s shoulder bag to carry for her without waiting for an answer.
Just as Ellie was about to respond, she caught sight of Susanna nearby, staring at them with wide eyes.
Noticing she was intruding, Susanna gave an awkward smile and hurried away. As soon as she stepped outside, she identally ran into Daniel.
The collision almost knocked her off her feet, but Daniel quickly grabbed her around the waist to steady her.
“Susanna, do you even use your eyes? Why do you always seem to be in such a hurry?” Daniel was fed up with reminding her to watch where she was going, but it seemed like she never took his advice to heart.
Susanna justughed it off, not at all upset by his words.
Kaiden and Daniel exchanged a look, choosing not to bring up their earlier chat in the lounge.
“Mrs. Thorpe, would you like to join us for lunch?” Daniel asked.

Excited, Susanna agreed enthusiastically.
Ellie felt she couldn’t turn down such a kind offer and nced at Kaiden, subtly hinting that he was included. Kaiden, holding her hand with one hand and her bag with the other, replied, “Let’s go.”
They decided on a private restaurant close to Critport University for lunch. Most of the conversation came from Ellie and Susanna.
“Mrs. Thorpe, are you heading back to schoolter? We could go together,” Daniel suggested, knowing that Ellie usually stayed at the alumni guesthouse during her visits to teach.
Kaiden, with his arm around Ellie, responded, “We’ve arranged to stay off-campus, so it’s a bit out of the way for us.”
Daniel didn’t know what to say.
Ellie observed the interaction between Kaiden and Daniel, wondering if they werepeting with each other. She dismissed the thought, convincing herself there was no reason for rivalry between them.
Kaiden never said anything about it, but he loathed the days when Ellie stayed in the alumni guesthouse. At one point, his frustration got the best of him, and he decided to buy a house near Critport University.
