    Ellie and Baylee were surprised by her words.


    “Susanna, it’s rare for a girl to be as brave as you in such a situation.” Baylee praised her courage. She had always thought of Susanna as the sheltered girl of the Lambert family. Yet, after just a brief moment of vulnerability in Daniel’s arms, Susanna was now speaking with such determination.


    But still, Susanna was furious.


    She frowned. “If I really had sex with Erick, I would feel like I was bitten by a mad dog. Well, it’s not fair to insult the dogs. Katharine always says society is too harsh on women. If a dog were to bite me without provocation, clearly, the dog is at fault, not me. We shouldn’t me the victim.”


    Susanna nced at Ellie and Baylee, continuing, “And why should we ce so much value on sexual rtionships? If men can be promiscuous, why are women expected to remain pure?”


    “Yes.” Baylee almost wanted to p her hands.


    “Why were you crying earlier?” Ellie inquired, wrapping her arms around Susanna.


    “I’m not sure why I was crying,” Susanna admitted, resting her head on Ellie’s shoulder. “Seeing Daniel so upset just got to me. He seemed so furious.” Susanna wondered if Daniel’s anger would have lessened if she hadn’t been sexually assaulted by Erick.


    Meanwhile, in the conference room, Erick was sprawled on the carpet, his nose bleeding and his face swollen. Anger painted Daniel’s face a dark shade.


    As Erick tried to stand, Daniel struck him again.


    “Stop it. Please calm down. Don’t hit my son.”


    Genesis’ cry echoed across the room. She attempted to reach Erick, but Katharine firmly held her hands behind her back, preventing any assistance.


    Genesis, despite her noble status, found herself powerless.

    “How could you expect us to calm down after the terrible things your son has done?” Katharine muttered with a scoff.


    When Talon was escorted in by a waiter, he found his wife restrained like a felon and his son lying beaten on the floor, unable to stand.


    Upon noticing Talon, Daniel paused and methodically adjusted his sleeve. Talon and Genesis, now released, rushed to assist Erick. Erick staggered to his feet, coughing up blood.


    “Mr. Hill, we were invited to your birthday celebration. Is this how you treat your guests? How can you allow my son to be treated like this?”


    After questioning Marvin, Talon was even more infuriated at the sight of Kaiden, a mere spectator to the chaos.


    “Mr. Thorpe, your son disrupted my event, and I haven’t even questioned him about that yet,” Marvin responded with an icy re.


    Talon felt a wave of panic but concealed it, feigning ignorance as he turned to Erick. “Erick, what exactly happened?”
