    Both Kaiden and Theo gave Edwin an intense look.


    “Um, I was just mentioning it. I’m not that familiar with Ellie!” Edwin shied away from Kaiden’s cold stare, feeling a bit scared.


    Theo yfully hit Edwin on the head and said, “Enough already!”


    Shortly after, Ellie and Flossie came back, both looking much more at ease. Flossie timidly linked her arm with Levy’s, her eyes glowing with pure happiness and admiration.


    Levy stared at Flossie, who was standing next to him. He was lost in thought.


    Ellie, turning around by chance, saw Daniel caught up in a chat with Talon, while Katharine was engaged in a conversation with another family head.


    Ellie nced at her watch. It had been thirty minutes since Susanna said she was heading to the restroom, and she hadn’te back yet. Worried, Ellie tried to call Susanna. There was no response.


    After trying two more times with no reply, Ellie’s concern grew, and she quickly went to find Daniel.


    “Susanna told me she was going to the restroom, and it’s been thirty minutes without hering back. I’ve tried calling her, but there’s no answer,” Ellie said worriedly.


    Daniel’s normally calm expression disappeared as soon as he heard this. Talon looked at Ellie, his gaze briefly hardening before heposed himself and said, “Miss Todd is probably just out for a stroll. She’s grown and can look after herself. No need to overthink it.”


    Ellie and Daniel didn’t listen to him.


    Daniel went straight to inform Katharine about what had happened.


    They looked everywhere but couldn’t find Susanna, which made them even more worried.


    “I’m going to find Marvin!” Ellie said, picking up the hem of her dress as she made her way to the lounge.

    The lounge was at the end of a corridor on the west side of the banquet hall. Upon entering, Ellie caught sight of a man pressing a woman against the wall and kissing her. The woman was adorned in a ck dress speckled with stars.


    Marvin, always alert, noticed someone approaching. Seeing Ellie out of the corner of his eye, he stopped, slightly annoyed at the interruption.


    Ellie was taken aback for a moment by what she saw.


    “Ellie…” Baylee’s lips were shockingly red, and she clumsily lifted her hand to cover her face.


    “Um… Sorry to interrupt, but Marvin, I need your help,” Ellie said. “Susanna, who came with the Lambert family, is missing.”


    Baylee and Marvin’s faces immediately turned serious.


    Since this was Marvin’s domain, he was perfectly ced to coordinate a search. He quietly instructed the servants and the Hill family’s security to begin looking for Susanna, managing to keep the guests mostly unaware of the situation.


    “Erick and Genesis are nowhere to be found,” Baylee suddenly mentioned. Ellie’s heart raced, remembering that Susanna had vanished while Daniel was upied with Talon.
