Chapter 682

    ?Chapter 682:

“Baylee, are you trying to absolve Quincy?” Marvin asked, his toneced with displeasure.

Baylee preferred not to engage with him on this.

“Marvin, this is not the time for personal grudges, especially not against a romantic rival,” Ellie intervened, unable to hide her annoyance.

“Should grievances be overlooked at any time?” Marvin countered, adamant. “The phone belonged to Quincy. He must bear responsibility.”

Kaiden, silently observing, found himself in agreement with Marvin.

Baylee was left without words. Nursing a headache, she changed the subject. “Ellie, how did you manage to find me?”

Ellie looked at Marvin. Marvin honestly spoke, “The bracelet I gave you has a locator and safety rm system in it.”

Baylee, taken aback, examined the elegantly designed diamond bracelet on her wrist, then looked at Marvin with disbelief.

“Baylee, I never imagined you’d actually wear it,” he admitted, a hint of luck in his voice.

Baylee opened her mouth to respond, but Marvin cut in. “I may stand a chance to be your boyfriend, right?”

Rendered speechless, Baylee instinctively reached to remove the bracelet but paused, remembering the intensity of his gaze upon his arrival. The memory alone made it impossible for her to proceed.

“Haha.” Marvin’s softughter broke the silence.

“What’s so funny? Marvin, installing a tracker in the bracelet without my consent is a breach of my privacy!” Baylee protested, her anger evident yet without a clear outlet.

Marvin, amused by the situation and seeing the bracelet still on her wrist, continued to chuckle softly.

Baylee’s discharge from the hospital was not yet approved, so Ellie decided to stay with her for the night. As she bid Kaiden farewell outside the hospital, his expression was cold.

“Ellie, would you really prefer a hospital bed over spending the night with me?” Kaiden pressed her against a pir, his teeth clenched.

“Baylee appears calm, but she’s undoubtedly shaken by this ordeal,” Ellie voiced her concerns.

“Couldn’t Marvin stay with her?” Kaiden suggested.

In fact, Marvin had already been dismissed by Baylee.

Sensing his displeasure, Ellie took his hand. “Kaiden, don’t be petty. It’s just one night. I’ll be with you once I return home, won’t I?”

Her words seemed to offer him somefort, though he remained quiet. After a moment’s thought, Ellie proposed, “Shall I apany you to the hotel and then return here?”

Kaiden, seeking apromise, suggested, “You walk me to my room.”
