    The ind evening was cool and refreshing. Outside, the noise from the hall was muffled, leaving the sound of the night breeze through the palm trees and the waves hitting the shore in the distance.

    “How can that be…” Carole was still hung up on what he had just revealed. “You mean, it was you? Then the woman’s voice I heardst night…”


    “It was Ellie’s.”

    A look of shock crossed Carole’s face. She had suggested to Ellie that Kaiden might be unfaithful. No wonder Ellie looked at her as if she were the butt of a joke… Ellie had known all along!
