?Chapter 646:
“Thank you!” Kaiden made his way over to thank the filming team.
“Mr. Thorpe, you’re too kind!”
Ellie, a bit puzzled, asked, “How did you manage to set this up with the crew?”
“I organized it this morning while you were still asleep.”
“And here I was, clueless, even when I stepped out at noon. You really had me fooled!”
The team had managed to keep the surprise a secret, and Ellie hadn’t suspected a thing.
Not only the crew, but Garfield must have been in on it too.
And Garfield didn’t tell her!
Kaiden gently patted her head, saying, “Baylee thought it should be a surprise.”
Ellie was taken aback.
For crying out loud! Even Baylee knew?
They were thest to return to the broadcast center, as they were quite far from it.
Carole stood up in shock upon seeing Ellie and a man walking hand in hand from a distance.
Why was Kaiden here, and when had he arrived?
Her astonishment was fleeting.
She quickly noticed Kaiden holding Ellie’s hand.
Kristopher frowned disapprovingly but swiftly concealed his emotions, although his eyes remained icy.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Thorpe! We’re honored to have you here.” The director and producer greeted him eagerly.
They had only spoken over the phone earlier that day and were now meeting him for the first time.
“I appreciate how well you’ve looked after my wife,” Kaiden said, shaking hands with them.

His words were a clear sign of support for Ellie.
Carole’s grip tightened, her nails digging into her skin.
She wondered if Kaiden was indifferent to the concerns she had shared with him.
“Kaiden,” Carole said, approaching with a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes.
Kaiden acknowledged her with a nod but offered no additional attention or words. Carole’s smile froze.
Kaiden looked around the room, his eyes finally settling on Kristopher. With Kaiden’s arrival, nearly everyone stood, except for Kristopher.
Kristopher remained seated, coolly meeting Kaiden’s gaze, his expression betraying no emotion as he held his own in terms of presence.
Darrell let out a quiet sigh of relief.
He had spoken ill of Kaiden in private, mocking him for marrying the woman Erick had abandoned. Yet, the truth was, Darrell was intimidated by Kaiden. Luckily, he went unnoticed.
