Chapter 603

    ?Chapter 603:

“How long will you be away?” Kaiden asked, leaning against the wardrobe, visibly unhappy.

    “Five days.”

The trip was supposed tost only three days, but getting there and back added another two.

Kaiden let out a humorlessugh. His wife was moremitted to her travel ns than he ever was, despite the fact that Kaiden himself often declined business trips.

As soon as Ellie snapped her suitcase shut, Kaiden picked her up against the wardrobe, unable to resist her any longer.

“Wait, wait!” Ellie was taken aback. “I need to properly close my suitcase first.”

    “I can’t wait any longer!”

Kaiden, who had been holding back for what felt like an eternity, found it impossible to resist now that she was right there. The thought of her being away for five days made it even harder to wait.

Perhaps driven by his frustration, his actions were a bit forceful, but not to the point of causing Ellie any harm. It was just intensely passionate.

“Let’s take it easy… how about we move to the bed?”

“I’d rather do it right here.”

Kaiden was firm in his decision not to return to the bed.

After seeing Ellie pressed against the wardrobe by time constraints, Kaiden was set on making it happen right there.

    “You—Mmm!”

Ellie tried to speak, but a passionate kiss from Kaiden cut her off. Everything else seemed to disappear, leaving only the overwhelming feeling of him being so close.

Then, a loud noise interrupted them.

    gα?ησν????s??оm, where stories thrive

Ellie looked down to see her suitcase had been knocked open by Kaiden’s idental kick, her clothes now scattered everywhere.

    “Kaiden!”

He stopped, a brief, awkward silence hanging between them.

Two hourster, after taking a shower, Ellie, now annoyed and fed up, was lying on the bed watching Kaiden on the floor, awkwardly picking up her clothes.

“You have to fold them right!” Ellie found herself at a loss for words when seeing how he folded her clothes. “Not that way! You’re messing up all the folds!” she instructed from where she was.

Kaiden looked confused, holding a dress and wondering if the folds really mattered. But, acknowledging he was the one who spilled her belongings, he took his time to refold the clothes, trying to get the “folds” Ellie was talking about right.

Ellie couldn’t help but let out a small, amused smile at his bumbling attempts.

Her amusement was cut short by a phone call.

    “Hello, Director Watson.”
