?Chapter 599:
“And that brings up the old question: Are the past versions of Ellie the same as the current Ellie?”
Ellie was at a loss for words. She didn’t expect that she would be the trending topic. But soon, she calmed down and didn’t care much anymore. She had gotten used to ignoring it. These topics would quickly be forgotten by people online if they didn’t keep talking about them.
Ellie called Kaiden. “Have you left work yet?”
“Not yet.”
“When do you think you’ll be done? I’ve just wrapped up at work, and if you’re about to head out, I cane by and pick you up.”
Kaiden looked at the towering stack of papers on his desk and said firmly, “Give me five minutes.”
Bruce, who was waiting to get his documents approved, was at a loss for words.
“I’ll wait for you in the parking lot, then!”
Ellie ended the call with a smile and headed towards the GT Group building. It was her first time picking Kaiden up after work, and she felt a mix of novelty and excitement.
“Sir, you said five minutes?” Bruce had an inkling but hoped he was mistaken.
“I’ll be finishing work in five minutes.”
Bruce found himself speechless again. He had guessed correctly.
Bruce didn’t give up. “Sir, there are so many documents. Can you really finish them in five minutes? The product department is waiting for your signature.”
Kaiden quickly signed off on the two most critical documents and put the others aside.
“I didn’t tell them to stayte.” He picked up his coat and headed for the door. “Time to call it a day, everyone.”
Bruce was left speechless again. Kaiden never used to worry about his staff like this.

“No need to arrange someone to send me off,” Kaiden said as he reached the door, adding, “Ellie ising to get me.”
Bruce remained quiet, then finally said, “Right, madam is really good to you!”
Then he muttered to himself, “There’s no need to make a big deal about thedy picking you up! Who else but madam could get you to leave your work behind like this!”
Ellie was sitting in the driver’s seat, going over the schedule the “Workce Diary” production team had sent her.
Out of nowhere, she heard a knock on the car window. There was Kaiden, looking handsome as ever, outside the passenger window.
Ellie quickly unlocked the car door for him.
As soon as he hopped in, he didn’t even wait to settle down before gently holding the back of Ellie’s head and drawing her into a kiss.
This kiss, sudden and quite intense, left Ellie in a whirl. Whether it was his technique or his strength, Kaiden always seemed to have the upper hand in these moments.
When Ellie finally caught her breath, her eyes were shining, and she was gasping for air, looking at him, puzzled and innocent.
