Chapter 577

    ?Chapter 577:

The bodyguards hesitated, ncing at the man who had just entered and was now standing by the door. That was when Demi spotted Kaiden.

With him there, the bodyguards didn’t dare make a move.

Ellie silently tightened her grip on Demi’s wrist and led her outside.

The crew stood frozen, too stunned to react.

Demi didn’t resist, worried about her unborn child, until Ellie pushed her into a car.

“Ellie, you’ll hear from mywyer for this!” Demi shouted.

“Grandma had an ident. She’s in the hospital due to a severe heart attack,” Ellie said, her expression serious.

Touching her wrist, Demi replied coldly, “I haven’t gotten a call from my mom or dad. I’m not going! And even if it’s true, it’s none of my business.”

She didn’t have the skills of a doctor, nor was she willing to help financially.

“Take her to the hospital,” Ellie instructed Kaiden’s bodyguard firmly.

Ellie believed that Cecelia, deep down, cared for her biological granddaughter Demi and would want to see her if she woke up.

Ellie and Kaiden then headed to a different car.

The news about the heart disease, the emergency surgery, and the critical condition alert had all been ryed by Kaiden just moments before.

Ellie was so anxious she couldn’t stop shaking.

Kaiden hugged her tightly and said softly, “Maybe telling you wasn’t the best idea.”

He hadn’t meant to scare her. To Ellie, seeing such a cruel woman one more time didn’t seem all that important.

“Thanks for letting me know, Kaiden.”

Even though Cecelia had let her down recently, Ellie couldn’t forget the kindness she had once shown.

At the hospital, the doctor exined, “The patient’s heart problem is a rare condition that was previously under control, likely thanks to some advanced medicine from overseas—something our doctors aren’t familiar with. Stopping this medicine suddenly has caused irreversible damage to her organs… I’m afraid she only has until tonight.”

Ellie looked toward the ward, unable to ept the heartbreaking news.

    “She wants to see you.”

After Demi visited Cecelia, she stepped out of the ward, her face void of sadness. With a short pause, she hastily asked, “Can I go now?”

To her, spending time with Cecelia or hearing herst words seemed pointless.

On the way to the hospital, Ellie had tried to contact Houston and Litzy, but one wasn’t interested in visiting, and the other was too busy with meetings.

“I’m going to see her,” Ellie told Kaiden.

    “I’lle with you.”

“I need to do this by myself.”
