Chapter 569

    ?Chapter 569:

    He paused, then shouted, “Bruce!”

“Bruce has gone home! He’s off work!”

Did he intend for Bruce to somehow get a milk tea shop to open just for him? Ellie believed Kaiden had the influence to make it happen.

“Kaiden,e on, it’s time we went home.”

Ellie attempted to steer him towards their car, yet he stood his ground. “I won’t go back.” Kaiden looked at her with determination. “You seem upset.”

    “I’m not upset—”

Ellie caught herself mid-sentence, realizing it was pointless to argue with him in his current state. “I’m not upset.”

Did he think a cup of milk tea was the cure for all grievances? Ellie was torn betweenughter and tears.

Kaiden examined her closely, as if trying to verify the sincerity of her words. After a moment, he appeared to grudgingly believe her, but he didn’t budge.

“You look down on me,” Kaiden said firmly.

Ellie couldn’t hide her frustration, saying, “That’s not true.” How could anyone look down on him?

It would be more urate to say it was a miracle if he didn’t disdain others!

Kaiden moved in closer, his presence overwhelming as he leaned into Ellie.

She found herself stepping back until she was pressed between him and a Rolls-Royce.

    “Why haven’t you called me?”

“For what reason should I call?” Ellie waspletely baffled.

Kaiden sighed, rifying, “I meant, call me ‘honey.''”

Ellie’s eyes went wide with astonishment. “You mean…?”

“Ellie, it seems like you really look down on me,” Kaiden concluded. “It’s as if you’re pretending we’re strangers.”

Ellie was rendered speechless. What kind of old issue was this?

“Alright… My dear honey! Can we head home now?” Ellie conceded. Seeing this, Kaiden’s expression softened as he caressed her cheek, acting innocently.

“Say it one more time. I didn’t hear that.”

“Honey, let’s head back. If you stay out here any longer, my disdain might actually be real.”

Ellie was half pleading, half bluffing, desperate to bring the “drunk” man home.

Kaiden, visibly delighted, cradled Ellie’s face and kissed her passionately, his lips pressing against hers. They were thin and dense. Pestering.

The mix of gentle kisses and the strong smell of liquor left Ellie feeling a touch dizzy.

“Baby, when we get to bed, you have to call me that too.”

Ellie snapped out of her daze, pushing against him, though she only managed to move his head back slightly.
