Chapter 545

    ?Chapter 545:

“Our boss mentioned that you once guided him, shielding him from getting lost in the cold wind. He values his life immensely; thus, hundreds of millions of dors is a modest gesture of his thanks.”

The waiter’s words gave Ellie a clue as to who their new boss was. It had to be Kristopher! The thought of Kristopher in the wheelchair, being pushed by a world-renowned heart surgeon, struck Ellie immediately!

The idea of receiving hundreds of millions of dors as a token of appreciation was incredible to Ellie. Kristopher seemed prideful and stubborn, but somehow not irritating. Kaiden noticed the hint of a smile in Ellie’s eyes and clenched his teeth.

“Miss Gordon, our boss hopes you have a good life,” the waiter said, handing the check to her again.

Ellie smiled and said, “Please thank Mr. Wright on my behalf.” People nearby exchanged nces. In their entire social circle, no family named Wright was known for being thisvish!

Baylee needed to talk to the auction house, so after a brief conversation with Ellie, she headed backstage.

As soon as Baylee finished her work and left the office, she noticed a man dressed in a suit and leather shoes waiting outside. Baylee chose to ignore him and walked away.

    “Baylee!” Quincy called after her.

“If you lose your way, maybe you should ask the waiter for help,” Baylee didn’t feel like talking to Quincy. “Or perhaps I’ll just get Miss Watts on the line.”

“Who’s the guy who’s been courting youtely?” Quincy inquired.

“Why don’t you take a guess?” Baylee smiled. She was somewhat amused. Did Quincy realize there was a man in her life but hadn’t figured out it was Marvin?

Marvin’s skills were impressive, as he managed to keep others from discovering his identity!

Quincy, holding a cigarette, looked noticeably annoyed.

Every tale finds a home at g?lnσν???s

He told her, “Baylee, your family may be broke, but the money and trust fund your dad left you is something a lot of guys would covet.”

“Quincy, why do you sound like you’re concerned about me?” Baylee’s expression turned frosty. “You only started dating me because I looked a bit like Aphrodite, right? The idea of just being a substitute for Aphrodite disgusts me! Your actions led to my family’s ruin, and my father was driven into the river by his debtors… Quincy, you’re fortunate to live in a society governed by strictws!” She would have taken matters into her own hands if it were up to her!

    “I didn’t realize—”

    “Quincy.”

A deep, rich male voice cut Quincy off.

Baylee knew who it was instantly, her heart leaping before she even saw him. She turned around.

Marvin, with a suit jacket over his arm, walked over.

“Marvin, why are you here?” Quincy was taken aback to see Marvin at the auction, especially since Marvin had never shown any interest in such events before.
