?Chapter 514:
He still couldn’t quite believe that the man walking freely right beside him was the same Kaiden Thorpe of the Thorpe family who had been confined to a wheelchair for several years.
“Looking for my wife right in my face… do you think that’s an appropriate thing to do?” Kaiden said with a sneer.
“Your wife is…” Howard couldn’tplete the sentence. He was too taken aback by surprise and disbelief that he almost felt he was dreaming.
Not long ago, he had seen it on Twitter, but he had told himself that there were many people whose surname was Gordon.
“Her name is Ellie Gordon,” Kaiden confirmed, crushing what little hope Howard still had.
Shock, crushed hopes, disbelief, and a myriad of other emotions swirled in Howard’s eyes, ultimately leading to a sense of resentment.
“For crying out loud, you’re not worthy of her!” he shouted in displeasure. “You’re married, but yet, you’re involved with other women. It’s clear that you don’t know how to cherish her!”
Kaiden looked up and down at the young man, who was just a few years younger than him, as if he had just told some funny joke.
“How dare you talk to me about being worthy or not?” Kaiden sneered mockingly. “Look, when I was your age, I was already the CEO of GT Group. But look at you… what do you have to boast of? You haven’t even been able to take control of the Lee family. Do you think you’re worthy enough to speak in my presence?”
If they were at a banquet, the only person qualified to talk to Kaiden would be Howard’s father, who was the head of the Lee family.
Howard wasn’t happy with this rebuke. He clenched and unclenched his fists in anger. He wanted to fire back a retort, but he couldn’t think of anything that could qualify as an appropriate response. After all, what Kaiden had said was right.
“But Mr. Thorpe,” he grumbled in displeasure, “Ellie has the freedom to make friends. Why couldn’t I care about her as her friend?”

Kaiden’s eyebrows shot up when he heard this. “So, does that mean you want to care about those intimate things my wife and I do in private?” he retorted.
Howard was taken aback by this unexpected response, and his face immediately turned sour.
Even though he knew Kaiden had deliberately said this to annoy him, he was still shocked by it.
Not far from the library, there was an artificialke.
The moistureden breeze blowing from theke was not enough to calm Ellie’s mood.
“Kaiden, what do you want?” she asked in a cold tone the moment she saw him.
“I came to read,” Kaiden calmly replied.
Ellie let out a bitterugh. “Since when did Mr. Thorpe be interested in veterinary pathology, huh?”
