Chapter 482

    ?Chapter 482:

The warm shower water cascaded over her, snapping Ellie back to reality. As she remembered the events of the past hour, she couldn’t help but see them as utterly ridiculous. She could hardly believe she had just had a standing intimate encounter with Kaiden in the alumni guesthouse of her old school.

What upset her most was that she had been stripped naked, while Kaiden had been dressed neatly from beginning to end.AdChoicesADVERTISING

    “Rat-a-tat!”

Kaiden waited patiently for Ellie toe out of the bathroom. Eventually, he couldn’t resist and knocked on the door.

“Ellie? Open the door and I’ll help you take a shower.”

    “Almost done. Don’t push me.”

After putting on her clothes, Ellie walked out of the bathroom. Seeing her in her sweater and casual pants, Kaiden smiled. He couldn’t help but reach up and tickle her chin as if he were scratching a kitten.

“Why are you wearing this? Are you being cautious around me?” he inquired.

Ellie snorted. Granted, she was being cautious because of him.

She then got straight to the point. “Kaiden, we need to talk.”

    “Talk about what?”

As they moved toward the sofa, Kaiden wrapped his arm around her waist and sat her on hisp.

“Let go of me. I need to discuss serious matters with you,” Ellie hissed.

“We can talk like this as well.”

Kaiden, having been intimate with her only once and still feeling unsatisfied, clung to her to quell his longing.

Ellie wriggled her body twice, attempting to get off him, but he held her in ce.

“Ellie, if you keep wriggling, I might end up punishing you in a way you don’t want.”

Kaiden rested his chin on her shoulder. As he leaned closer and made his warning, the desire in his dark eyes burned even more intensely than before.

Instantly, Ellie stopped moving, not daring to provoke him further.

“Last month, Carole faced a career crisis due to a temporary contract issue with a big show’s brand. You requested Zoey’s help to resolve this, didn’t you?” she asked.

“Yes.” Kaiden asked curiously, “How do you know?”

Only a few people directly involved in the case knew that Kaiden was the one responsible for it.

“You assisted Carole, even though you were aware that her temporary breach of contract almost ruined the very first major show I ever hosted?” Ellie gazed down at her fingers and said coldly.

Kaiden’s expression grew serious. “Did she breach her contract with Light?”

“Don’t tell me that you don’t know she broke the contract with Light,” Ellie replied.

“Zoey is handling this matter. I don’t know the specific situation,” Kaiden exined.

He was truly unaware of it.
