?Chapter 357:
Celebrating New Year’s with friends is often more fun than with older family members, and the strained rtionship between Omiros and Kaiden didn’t seem to lend itself to a joint celebration. Omiros, with a dark expression, questioned, “Did Kaiden authorize me to go out?”
Ellie then remembered that Kaiden had restricted Omiros to the manor to prevent him from running away again. She realized how unfortunate Omiros’s situation was.
“I apologize for unintentionally leaving you behind while we were enjoying ourselves outside,” Ellie said, her guilt evident.
“You think I don’t know what happened? Humph. You and Kaiden must have had a wonderful night at a hotel, right?” Omiros sneered. Caught off guard, Ellie spat out her drink, embarrassed by Omiros’s bold guess.
Omiros, a little shocked at his uracy, yfully teased Ellie for being shy, iming he knew everything.
Ellie stood up and realized Omiros didn’t need her sympathy. He was aware of their hotel stay and showed his maturity.
To make amends, Ellie prepared a feast of Omiros’s favorite dishes.
Kaiden, joining the meal, looked disapprovingly at Omiros. Before Omiros could cause trouble, Kaiden received a call, his mood darkening instantly.
“I won’t go back,” he replied to the caller. “You only provided one sperm for my birth. How much is it? I’ll pay you.”
Ellie and Omiros were stunned, pausing their meal. It was clear the call was from Jorge.
After Kaiden ended the call, Ellie and Omiros refrained from prying into the details. A whileter, Cayson’s phone rang, and he approached with a troubled expression.
“Mr. Thorpe, they suggest that if you go back, this could be an opportune moment for you toprehend your mother’s condition.” It was a veiled threat, using Brisa as leverage against Kaiden.
Kaiden maintained a stoic expression, his face a mask of indifference. However, the fork in his right hand slipped from his grasp onto the table, producing a distinct sound akin to a snapping neck.
“Carry on with your meal, everyone.” Kaiden then requested a servant to fetch his coat.

Ellie rose from her seat, dering, “I’ll apany you.”
The Thorpes’ house always exuded a stifling ambiance. A servant guided Kaiden and Ellie into the study. Jorge upied the central position at the yellow rosewood desk, while Talon and Erick sat in chairs to his left.
“Kaiden, did you have a hand in the incident at the bar?” Jorge asked sternly as soon as Kaiden took his seat.
Erick and Talon, brimming with confidence, had assured Jorge that Kaiden would deny any involvement and shirk ountability. They had spoken negatively about Kaiden many times in front of Jorge. To their astonishment, Kaiden calmly affirmed, “Indeed.”
His tone exuded arrogance, as if proiming, “And what if it was?”
“You!” Talon, taken aback and furious, used. “Kaiden, I understand there’s a history between us, but tarnishing the Thorpe family’s reputation and honor is unforgivable! Have you considered the repercussions for the family and for Dad?”
Talon possessed a silver tongue, deftly intertwining the Thorpe family and Jorge to seamlessly guide the conversation toward Jorge reprimanding Kaiden.
