?Chapter 326:
In this charged atmosphere, Theo, holding a thick book on neurosurgery, lookedid-back as if he were in a quiet study.
“Kaiden, you are finally here. These two groups will turn my hospital into a battleground if you don’t intervene.” Theo closed the book and said, “Your men are preventing the neers from entering. They only follow your orders. These neers insisted that they be allowed in because the patient inside is their leader.”
Theo wouldn’t be present if the situation hadn’t escted to the point where someone needed to take charge.
“Dr. Stephens, I apologize for the trouble,” Ellie said apologetically. “You canmunicate with Baylee directly.”
“Miss Curtis?” Theo pointed toward the ward, seemingly recalling something amusing. “She’s in the ward, but the man in the bed seems to be out of his mind, and he won’t let her go.”
“Then you know…” Ellie began but hesitated mid-sentence.
“I know who’s inside. Ellie, don’t worry, the Stephens family won’t get involved. There are only patients, their family members, and unrted individuals here.” Theo made his stance clear.
Before Ellie could express her gratitude, she asked, “What do you mean by ‘out of his mind?''”
“I mean it quite literally,” Theo replied, shrugging.
Kaiden didn’t believe Theo’s words. He wheeled himself and took Ellie’s hand toward the ward. “We’ll find out when we see for ourselves.”
“Mr. Thorpe.” Kaiden’s bodyguards acknowledged his presence with nods.
Kaiden gestured for them to make way.
“Wait.” It was one of Marvin’s subordinates who spoke up. “When did Mr. Thorpe be acquainted with our boss?”
The subordinate, with a crew cut, eyed Kaiden warily, fearing he might harm Marvin.

Kaiden calmly replied, “When your boss was on the verge of death at the bottom of the slope.”
Ellie was speechless.
She wondered if Kaiden came here with the intention of starting a fight.
Before the verbal confrontation escted, Ellie hastily exined, “Do you know the rtionship between me and Baylee? Baylee is thedy inside.”
The crew-cut man hesitated for a moment and then said respectfully, “Miss Gordon, pleasee in.”
Ellie was surprised. She was just a friend of Baylee’s, yet she was treated with such respect. It was evident that Marvin’s subordinates held Baylee in high regard.
Inside the ward, Marviny with bandages on his head, his eyes closed, seemingly asleep. However, even in slumber, he clutched Baylee’s hand tightly, as if afraid she might slip away.
“Uh… What happened?” Ellie asked quietly. “You two…”
Sporting a helpless expression, Baylee even sumbed to a bit of emotional breakdown. “Marvin’s memories are in disarray, and I got stuck with him.”
