?Chapter 254:
Suddenly, a wave of mncholy swept over Ellie.
Why would she even consider preserving Kaiden’s image at this point? Could it be that she was infatuated with him?
Her dress was unzipped by the man, and the chilly air pricked at her skin. Ellie involuntarily trembled, her heart tightening.
“Kaiden, if you push me again, I won’t forgive you!” she warned.
Fearing that her voice might attract unwanted attention, Ellie spoke in hushed tones, her eyes welling up with tears.
Kaiden was mildly taken aback, noticing her teary eyes. “Why the tears?” he asked, his tone cold.
Trying to hold back her tears, Ellie involuntarily shed one, whichnded on the man’s suit jacket. It was quickly absorbed and disappeared.
Seeing the tear, Kaiden’s heart skipped a beat.
“Is this so undesirable to you?” Kaiden’s gaze grew intense.
Ellie avoided his gaze, choosing not to engage or speak. Tears lingered in her eyes, giving her a stubborn and pitiable appearance.
Her reluctance was clear. She didn’t want to do this. Who would want to engage in such activities in a bathroom at a time like this?
Kaiden re-zipped her dress and asked, “Is that eptable?”
Stepping back, he noticed her lipstick had smudged from their kiss. Nevertheless, Ellie kept her gaze fixed on the floor, choosing not to speak.
She was throwing a tantrum.
“Thank you all for being part of my birthday celebration!” Araceli’s voice echoed in the profound silence from outside.
Before Kaiden could stop her, Ellie quickly opened the door and ran out.

It was only then she realized there was no one outside, just a wheelchair stationed near the restroom.
Several meters away, a man stood.
“Ellie, where were you? Kaiden is searching for you. What happened?” Edwin asked. Seeing the tears in her eyes, he was momentarily perplexed. Noticing her smeared lipstick, he added, “You…” His gaze lingered on her lips.
It was only then Ellie remembered applying lipstick earlier. The smudging must have happened during Kaiden’s kiss.
Grateful for her habit of carrying a mask, she swiftly retrieved one from her handbag and put it on.
“Edwin, why are you here? Your mother’s birthday ceremony has already started. Shouldn’t you be with her?” Ellie asked, maintaining an appearance ofposure despite her lingering embarrassment. She wasn’t even sure if he had overheard her conversation with Kaiden in the restroom.
“Kaiden mentioned you were missing, so we came to find you,” Edwin exined. “Are you alright? And where is Kaiden?”
